Why is it I always need/want something that's out of season?

I need (ok - want) a new nylon rain coat for my trip to disney next month.
Yes, september, the rainy month.

I have a rain coat - but it's about 4 sizes too big (stole it from my brother years ago)...I can fit a backpack and 2 small children underneath this thing.

I found a great one online fromm Urbanoutfitters.com on sale for $15 - but they cancelled my order for some reason and now my size is out of stock. (grr - their customer service SUCKS!)

Has anyone seen any of these recently for a decent price? Just looking for a nylon zip up one with a hood. (already checked old navy - don't like that one at all...)

thanks!

ETA
Oh - and I don't DO Mickey ponchos! :)

Try REI. I got a nice red rain backpacker jacket for 19.00 a couple of weeks ago. It is totally waterproof, but boy does it get hot, even if the sleeve vents are open.

I found a very light weigt waterproof one at LL Bean. I think its the Mountain Classic Anorak. I bought the insulated one, just because of where I live, but it does come uninsulated as well. Good Luck.

The problem is all the retailers artificially manipulate the seasons. Just try to find a decent selection of bathing suits in late July or August. No way. If you want to buy a suit, you need to do it in March while there is still snow on the ground.

O stop being fussy and just wear a Mickey one. :teeth: ;)

d'oh - can't belive i didn't think of LLBean!!
what kind of new englander am I?

hmm...ok - orange or fuchsia? hehe...leaning towards orange.

(psst - disneysteve - that may be true about bathingsuits - however I got some GOOD DEALS at filenes on suits last month! heheh)

The orange one reminds me of a crossing guard ( which may not be a bad thing at Disney! ) I'd pick fuchsia.

yeah - me too (and my mom is a school crossing guard! hehehe)

I'm just not a "fuchsia girl" I don't think...plus I think DH will be able to find me easier if I'm wearing orange! heheh

well - that decides it - only the orange is in stock - i'm buying that one! hehehe

I was thinking about buying a rain coat too for next month, but couldn't figure out what to do with it all day except stick it in a locker. Do you carry it with you?

Thanks :)
