There is no 'hold up their end of the arguement' when the orig. thread was based on opinions and hypotheticals. Like I said on that thread I don't think anyone's opinions ever change. People that are swayed are sitting on the fence anyway. If you think your arguement was so overwhelming how many people have you brought over to the dark side?

But claiming your side is the winner on a third thread that is OT and not what the OP is about, that says nothing?

OK, then you tell me - why not just stick to the debate and make your great argument there? I think you guys got frustrated and went off to another thread to make fun of our position -- and that's OK, like everyone says, free speech and all.

Seriously, if we on the other side had started a thread making fun of people in "Babyland" who can't leave their kids for a minute...

How about if we had made the same poll only with different choices:

Should children be allowed at WDW?:

1) Only if they can walk because I'm getting sick of those strollers!

2) Sure but let's stick all the parents of the little kids down their own wing so that they don't wake us up in the morning when I have my hangover.

3) Yes if they are on leashes.

4) Only if muzzled for the shows, and in restaurants, they should be tied to their seats.

Would that have seemed as "lighthearted"? And wait, those of you who are poised to post "I would have thought that was funny" -- I don't believe you.

And I think you should post the babyland poll. I don't care about the thread that seems to have started all the hubub in this latest round, and I do think both sides being sarcastic is funny.

For the most part, I am with Christine--I never catch this stuff. The only one I remember that was a joke people didn't catch was the one about the $15 coffee. (She should have made it more $)

AP, I believe that the majority of the people here have a sense of humor, and would have enjoyed your poll...I could be wrong, of course!

Some, of course, would have been offended, and probably felt much like you did about the posted poll. I honestly don't mean that you have no sense of humor, btw ...just that on that topic you seem to have some strong feelings!

Not at all! It wasn't a crusade or anything!

I was having fun debating! And I thought I was making good points and asking good questions and pure and simple trying to win!

It was like being in a debate in HS and feeling like your team is really doing well, only to have the other team go out in the hall and say something like, "That other team is just smelly!" or something, just for a laugh, just to make us look stupid.

I could care less about adult only WDW -- I just was so stunned by the people saying, "Well I don't want it so you can't have it." I just liked arguing about that!
