Heading Home
Day 6 (Part 3)
We arrived back at Port Orleans Riverside at about 5:30 and began the great wait for the sad ride back to the airport.
Mom went into to get sandwiches for later so we could have Disney food while waiting in the airport. Dad got all the luggage, and Jill, Jessica, and I looked in the gift shop one last time.
While we were waiting outside for the Magical Express to come pick us up it started downing pouring out of nowhere. All of the Cast Members were rushing for cover.
There had been a few horse drawn carriages out and they were bringing them in for cover, the poor things were soaked.
At about 6:15 our bus came and we got loaded on. We were the first people so Mom and I took the first seats.
We stopped at a few other resorts and then made our way to MCO. We were running very early so we stopped near the
Disney store right before security and had our sandwiches. I think we all got tuna.

THESE CHIPS ARE AMAZING!
We ate some of our food, put the left overs back in the bag and headed through security and made our way to our gate. We were there very early so there was little seating at our gate because a different flight was still there waiting to board.
Once that flight boarded we claimed our own little area and we all got comfortable because we had a while to wait. Luckily we had some more snacks! Our treats from The Writer’s Shop!

So good!

Jessica and her half eaten cupcake

My Carrot Cake Cookie

IT WAS SO GOOD!! Everyone neeeedsss to try this! I’m begging you eat one and keep me in mind next time you’re in DHS!
Jessica decided to open her Minnie Mouse house that she had gotten and play with it in the airport to pass time.
As time got closer to boarding time we packed up and got ready to get in line. I’m not sure how it started but Jessica and I had a full on tickle fight and were rolling around on the floor tickling each other and laughing and having a great time. Nobody else was particularly amused by the scene we were causing, but it was a great time.
We boarded the plane and soon enough it took off and landed back at home.

Jessica stopped to wrap Simba

It was much colder at home than it had been in Florida so Jessica put on Dad’s jacket to keep warm.
Dad went and grabbed the car while the rest of us grabbed the luggage and headed out to the loading dock thingy.
We were home in about an hour and all went to sleep immediately. We were exhausted!
