Why is DVC sending me a FedEx package?

I got notification via email that DVC is sending me a package (due to arrive tomorrow). I didn't buy any more points. I know the email is legit as I got the email on my phone and I went to a different computer to open FedEx's tracking stuff and popped in the number.

Has this happened to anyone before? Do they love me do they really love me or are they revoking my points ahaha!

Could it be the 2013-2014 Member Vacation Planning Guide that was sent out this week? Mine came USPS, but it couldn't fit in my mailbox...maybe they sent yours Fed Ex? I know sometimes I get Fed Ex packages through that "Smart Post" thing they do and my mailman brings it...

I have only been a member for just about a year and half now and I don't recall getting the point charts and such last year via FedEx let alone need a sig for 2 day delivery. Sure I can see the initial contract or something (even that I don't know how it arrived!). It's just weird and I guess I should find out tomorrow I just hope I am home for it or the suspense will kill me even longer ahaha.

Mine came and it was left sticking out of my mailbox only to get soaked. I don't know who delivered it but let's say I was not happy. Also, I noticed there wasn't any info on VGF. They sent them out late without including all of the info.

I don't think dues pay the cost of the planners. Dues go toward your specific real estate investment. Planners come from DVC operating expenses if I remember correcty.

FedEx has a contract with USPS to carry priority mail on their planes. USPS has similar contracts with UPS.

Are you getting a referral reward? Those sometimes come via FedEx.

We got our planners - yes 2 - yesterday I agree what a waste of money! To send them out without VGF what a waste and we are already in June! I think I am going to call MS to see how to opt out of getting them they go directly into the garbage it is much easier to use the on line calculators.

My planner arrived today - delivered by my wonderful USPS carrier, right to my back door - when I have a mailbox - but he didn't want to crush the package.

Yup that was it! Hahaha too funny. But WHY 2 day FedEx for it? I was worried it was important!

Still haven't received my books though. Our post man probably delivered them to the wrong house....as usual with our mail!

Wow. Last year we got a call to apply for a commercial for DVC. I spent about an hour on the phone doing an interview, basically talking about DVC.

Must have passed that screening because they then wanted pictures of my family at WDW/DLR along with an essay answering a bunch of questions about our DVC experiences over the years.

We spent a good part of that night writing and rewriting that essay and sent it along with a bunch of photos the next day.

Never heard a word back. Not a thank you but no, not a hat in a box, nothing.

And we were really hoping to get picked because they were going to send families to Costa Rica for ABD and another to BLT, and they even wanted to make sure we had our passports and could make certain dates. Which we did and we could.

At least we could have gotten a stinking hat out of it for all the time we put into it.

Ditto. Not much time invested on my end at all. In fact I totally forgot I had done it!
