Why is CRT not more expensive?

I realize the food is just ok but any restaurant where I live that books all reservations 180 days in advance with prepaying customers would think their prices must be too low and raise them. Then I wouldn't be thinking that even though I'm prepared to book right at opening 180 +4 days in advance I still might not be able to get one. Might have to go with the last night of the trip even though it isn't ideal.

They've got that survey out about the park prices and now a post about CRT being not expensive enough? Yikes.

The food isn't what people are paying for when they book CRT. They're paying for a "meal" inside of Cinderella's Castle with a bunch of princesses present. The atmosphere of that experience is more than likely the majority of that price tag. That's why it's so hard to land that reservation.

So you think the answer to you possibly not getting an ADR is to price it out of other's range so you can get an ADR? Wowser Bowser.
Exactly. I'm a huge fan of an NBA team and I never get their 'premiere reservation' - courtside seats as they cost over a grand a game. But I do have my mediocre season tickets and am happy with the arrangement as they are $60 a game. If I'm spending thousands on this trip shouldn't I have some option to 'buy' the reservation to help ensure a 'perfect' vacation? I can go to stub hub for the court side seat if I really wanted it.

I too wonder sometimes why Disney does not raise prices to lower demand at restaurants. They'd possibly make more profit and serve fewer customers.

But they also want people buy merchandise and buy Park tickets and rent hotel rooms.

Disney's Park profits are not simply tied to dining.

Couldn't agree more. Just keep checking and checking, Richie Rich. That's how I get most of my ADRs. I'm sure they will turn up soon with some patience. No need to whip out the money bags ;)

Welp, you can pay for DiningScout or diningBuddy to find you one.

I'm super glad I got up at 6:00 and did my thing. Also, I think CRT is easier to get because of BOG. I'm pretty sure if you have the money and call Disney they'll find a spot for you. I'm sure when people with more financial resources call for special treatment they are accommodated. So do your thing.

MORE expensive? I already think it is too expensive...I'm eating a McDonald's breakfast in a princess castle...lol
Essentially, they did raise the price...inmho No more included printed photo.

Agree. Used to go every year but after the last time, I'm done. It is very overpriced for what you get and I can't imagine pricing it any higher. That said I have never had a problem getting an ADR for it, especially the dinner since BOG opened.

I'll add a little bit more for context. Not Richie Rich, been there twice ever, CBR & VWL. But I am going with another family where I am in charge of all the planning and the other mom was recently diagnosed with MS. This might be her only time there as far as I know, her 6 year olds have never been there. I'll feel a little like a failure if I can't get the 5 girls a reservation when the trip was booked 11 months in advance. Last year was just my family and we didn't even try CRT and went with Akerhuas.

When are you going? Try Disneydiningbuddy, people have reported good luck with it.

You won't have a problem getting an ADR. I had one for a certain time that I booked at 180+3. About two months later I changed the time with no problems at all. With BOG it doesn't get full as fast.

For better or worse, Disney is stuck with an image of being some kind of non-profit organization. It's the nature of the business- selling magic and dreams come true to families.

Really though, they know there's only so far they can go in raising prices.

I found the headline slightly comical myself when I know from my prior visit how the meal was mediocre. But I didn't know it was equivalent to a politician giving a speech at the Villages suggesting social security benefits be reduced. I can name all of the things that I wish cost less if everyone will forgive me :)

I will be on at 6am Central, and will probably get what I need. I've planned every detail, have a spreadsheet with everything we want, but have read complaints about the DVC reservations not working online at the 180 day mark and have to hope for the best. I have to go now, one of my butlers has a question.

I'm truly sorry if I offended you. I'm confident that you will find an ADR at CRT :) If some some reason, you can't get it 180 days out, keep checking! Unfortunately, a lot of selfish people book more tables than they could ever possibly need, because they want options on which day to go. I, for one, am very against that. Once they decide (usually like a week before the trip) they release the reservations so that they don't get charged for not showing up. I wish you the best of luck, my friend! I'm rooting for you!!

Reservations open online at 6am Eastern. Try for your latest MK day of the trip for best times. You can always switch to an earlier day if you can find it. Good luck!

There's only so many tables in CRT. I'm not sure that raising the price would keep it from filling up as fast. I'm sorry about your friend being diagnosed with MS. My uncle has been suffering with MS for almost 50 years, but despite being in increasingly steady decline with many hospital stays, he continues to go see and do. I have an aunt who has much milder symptoms and was diagnosed much later, but you'd think every day was her last. I hope your friend has many more trips to WDW in her future.

Thanks. My 6 am Central was supposed to say 5am Central. Yes we can redo all of the tentative which park we visit on which days once the reservations are done.

I have eaten there 3x, with a bit of persistence I've gotten my ideal time around 100 days out, 60 days out and on a last minute trip, 10 days out.

Also someone said they did away with the printed photo, when was this?
