Why is BWV so much less than BCV?

I'm pricing up a few nights at either BCV or BWV, and BW is about $200 cheaper for a 3 night stay.(Paying $13/point)

Is this due to room size/decor etc? We will be staying in a studio.

A standard view studio at BWV will be about 3 points cheaper than BCV. At $13 that's about $40 more per night. Make sure you can get standard (if you want that) and you may be able to rent points for less than $13 I would think. But other than that its pretty much the same room and location. We prefer BCV but BW View (same points as BCV) is one of our favorites-we just really like the pool (SAB) at BCV.

The Boardwalk has some standard view rooms that require less points as a preferred view at BWI or rooms at BC. There is very little difference in points between either resorts other than the standard view at BWI

There are very few standard view villas at BWV, and they tend to book up very quickly because of the lower point cost. If you want to rent one of those, you'll need to work with a member who owns at BWV and can book right at the 11-month window. If you're trying to plan a trip that's less than 11 months away, assume that you'll be getting one of the other 'views' and paying the higher point cost.

The beach club is closer to the international gateway, so you don't walk as far to get into EPCOT - this makes it more desirable. You also have to remember Storm Along Bay, which makes the beach club worth more and more desirable.

the point chart is a little different for next year - 2010 has some weekend points higher at BCV than BWV. don't know why/

I don't think anyone ever posts this,but the bathroom area in BWV studios is nicer imho because there is closed storage with drawers in the vanity. BCV is just open shelves.

But BCV has Stormalong Bay and the Marketplace has easier to refill mug areas than the Boardwalk.

Totally off topic but that's my #1 complaint of the SSR studio - there was no bathroom storage at all - not even a shelf!
