Why is booking direct with DCL more than with TA?

Just wondering why I saved about $350.00 by booking with a TA instead of directly DCL? I guess the TA's get some type of group rate.?

Also Travel Agents have the ability to give you a credit from their commission. The TA is given the same price that you would get calling direct, but they also get commission for the sale. A lot of TA's will rebate a portion of the commission back to lower the price for their client.

Also, companies like DU will get a group rate that is usually quite a bit cheaper than what DCL will charge. The only down side with that rate is that you are often not eligible for other booking discounts that may apply....like a $50 credit for using your Disney Visa, or the hurricane cruisers who got 25% off vouchers had to book from the non-group rate. But usually, despite that, you will usually be getting a better deal with the group rates.
