Why I Love My Job

So I'm sitting here processing the rest of the Disney Gift Cards from the special cashout last week. I went through so many cards that I had to have Disney FedEx me another $4000 worth on Friday!

Only a true Disney fan could sit surrounded by all these Disney Gift cards and just want to cry because you know what they represent to the people who are getting them--nights at the Wilderness Lodge, dinner at Chef Mickey's, breakfast with Cinderella, hair-doos at the BBB, tickets to MNSSHP, souvies to remember that perfect trip, shipboard credits to take a shore excursion, on and on. I think about my own daughters' first birthdays at WDW, trips with the whole family, and how much fun DH and I have on the DCL.

Each and every card I stick in an envelope I wonder about the magic that the person holding it will experience when they use it.

Okay. Enough being a blubbering idiot. I just love this!!!

I really didn't think that we'd be able to do another disney trip this summer, but thanks to you at SR and Dmitry at QR and, of course, all of the great members of the disboards who help provide info on all of the offers, we are going again!! I'm a SAHM so money is tight. Any extra that I can help bring in goes toward vacation.

Awwww...Tricia! You are right you are sitting there looking at so many great memories that will soon by made. We are using our earnings through SR for our 1st Anniversary trip. Every time I get a credit I either run to tell my Hubby or call him, he gets just as excited. So, thank you so much!!

This might be completely corny - but if that makes you feel like blubbering idiot, maybe make a little section of the site just for that to take it one step further? Maybe ask all of us (and those on your site that aren't on DIS) to send an email to let you know how/where they used the gift card - maybe even let them send in pics of that hairstyle, the party or the souvenir. Make it even MORE real! Instead of just thinking about what the gift cards represent - find out what tangible part of the vacation they funded.

Who knows, it might even encourage others to do more to get more once they see all the wonderful things people have been able to do with their earnings?

You are right we thank you so much!! I as a single mom have made a yearly trip to Disney with DD 6,9 prior to the divroce and I was determined to continue this tradition on my own. Well, I'm glad someone loves their job. I think I would too if it involved Disney.

I can honestly say that I would not even know about Sunshine rewards if it wasn't for this board. I was really skeptical of all these rewards sites by this board has provided me with the confidence it trying new things. I have been a memeber since Oct and have $175 in Disney gift cards (my DH thought I was crazy at first..that is until he saw the gift cards). We don't even have a trip planned but are saving them up for the next time we do make it to WDW or DL. Hopefully we will next year. So my hats off to you Tricia for making such a great reward program.

You are the best!! Just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work. Since I joined last March I have earned enough disney dollars and disney gift cards to be able to take my family (5 kids and DH) for breakfast at Crystal Palace and still have plenty left over for some other little extras. So when we are having our character breakfast next month we will be having an orange juice (lol) toast to you!!! Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication to all of us!

Awww Tricia that is so neat to look at it that way and true too! We all love getting those gift cards to do special things. I know that if it wasn't for your site and QR we wouldn't be able to do a lot of the fun "extra" we get to because of you. So thanks for "STUFFING" those envelopes for us! Awesome pictures!! We're taking my nephews to CMs in October. One of my nephews (he's 14 months) has never been to Disney and the other (4yrs) has been to MNSSHP only once. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when Mickey comes around. Of course, my girls are all about Minnie! We actually have the magnets of our two family pictures from there on the fridge and I was looking at them tonight. I can't wait to get one with the grandparents and all four grandkids in October.
