I am currently making my June WDW/DCL/WDW trip spreadsheet and have two days at the Magic Kingdom, but both are in the afternoon-evening. My plan for day one is to arrive via plane/ME to Poly by noon. Hang out in pool/room until around 4pm, then head over to MK. BOG at 5:15 and the park closes at 11.
We will miss most of the heat of the day.
Next day, Animal Kingdom at 8:00am for EMH until maybe noon, then back to Poly for swim/nap, then MK at 5:00pm-11:00pm again.

The I looked over that plan and thought, "Is it a good idea to arrive at MK in the afternoon both days?!? Won't it be more crowded in the afternoon?"

THEN...I remembered that I'll be able to make 3 FP+ reservations for both days, so that will cover the 6 favorite, long stand-by line rides that are "must-dos" for me. And since I'll be at AK for rope drop, I won't need FPs.

In the days of FP-, I wouldn't have any guarantees about getting a FP for Peter Pan if I arrived at 4pm or later. Now I can!

FP+ can really work if you know how to park hop effectively.:thumbsup2

Your case is definitely when FP+ works the best I think. I most loved it the day I arrived and could still get on Space Mountain on Friday night.

We are going in June as well. Trying to make sure I know what days we will be in each park to get the most of the FP+. Like you we like to park hop and usually visit more than one park per day! I think the FP+ system will help with park hopping and riding big attractions at the 2nd park of the day!

Agree. We are looking at same plan in November.

Glad it's working for you. I can definitely see the advantages for arrival day and park hopping and using in the 2nd park. I'm not sure yet if I would use it when hopping to Epcot or HS though due to tiers.

word of advice though--you will probably not be able to make changes if you get to the park later so definitely try to plan it out. I was in the MK last Wed am and wanted to change a ride at 10:30 and the only ride I could get was for later in the daythat I couldn't use because we were leaving at 3:00. And this was a supposedly low crowd day- (although to me it felt pretty crowded much earlier than I can ever remember. )

I was in Magic Kingdom Friday, February 21st during Presidents week. During this time I was able to maneuver different fast passes around between 10 AM and 12 PM without much problem. I'm not sure if I will anticipate June being more or less crowded than the Friday of Presidents week. But nonetheless, it was pretty easy to change fast passes the day of

It's not just the "crowd level" to anticipate.

It will be the increased number of guests who will be participating in FP+ as time goes by.

The opening of the Mine Train alone could drive a lot more people towards using the system. I higher percentage of guests.

I agree having 3 FP in hand on a late arrival day is a great benefit to the FP+ system.

True, but regardless I'm not going to need to change my fast passes once I plan them. The only thing I can imagine doing is looking to see if another time is available just in case a whim takes me in a different direction. But if I schedule three fast passes for 5 PM 6 PM and 7 PM, I'm not too worried about needing to switch them.

I am in the process of making our plans for June and the biggest park I am having trouble with grasping MP+ is MK.

We are rope drop people so we will get a lot done early in the day. With the other parks we can use FP+ for the afternoon times. However we have been used to being able to pull several FP's in MK even in the afternoon/evening time. We will have to get used to only having 3 for that time period in MK. Not sure how many BTMM and Splash rides that will equal....but you know what we will figure out and try to have a great time.pixiedust:
