I don't know why I am putting this out here, but I will.

I admit it, I support Obama.

I always thought that McCain would leave behind alot of the campaign rhetoric that was meant to appease the far right and actually be an acceptable President to me. But then he chose Palin (no matter whether he did or the "machine" did, he still went along with it] In one fell swoop, he lost my confidence. When there are so many other choices out there that would truly enhance the ticket and THE COUNTRY - why Palin?

I am sick over the choice Just sick.

I try to find humor in the situation, but the fact that she could actually be second in line to be leader of the free world makes me embarrased for our country as a whole.:sad2:

Further indication McCain relies far too much on "Hail Mary's".

I am not sure why you are angry..

I am not angry with any of the choices and for me, I am watching and will not make a decision, until I go into that voting booth.. I want to make sure I listen to everything before I make the decision. In my case, I am voting what I think is the lesser of two evils....whomever that will be.

Personally, I am fed up with all of them. Especially with what is going on with our economy right now.. Make a bill, make it right and put it in place.. Enough, please.

If you substitute Barack Obama's name in this sentence, only put in "first in line", and eliminate embarrassed, but worried, frightened, concerned, then you would understand my point of view.

OP, since you've already admitted you're an Obama supporter, sounds like McCain's choice wasn't with you in mind anyhow. I personally can not stand Joe Biden -- I lived in DE for 8 years, and it's a small state. But, on the same token, I wasn't planning to vote for Obama and so Biden's choice wasn't designed to appease me.

*yawn*

I'm embarrassed that anyone would be ignorant enough to vote for BO. Guess we are even.:confused3

Before we start name calling, have you been watching the Palin interviews with Katie Couric?? This woman who aspires to be VP cannot even name ONE newspaper or magazine that she reads regularly!!! Katie asked the question repeatedly and Palin kept answering "all of them." WTH does that mean?? Then she turns it around and gets defensive thinking that Couric is attacking her for living in Alaska when Couic was just trying to see what sources she reads to keep up with current events.

Further, Palin insulted homosexuals by insinuating that their lifestyle is a choice. Right, I chose to be heterosexual so homosexuality must be a choice

Same here. I flirted voting for McCain for about 2 weeks.

Then Obama chose Joe Biden for VP. I was back in the Democratic fold where I belong........

Palin being so close to the Presidency alarms me.

I know exactly how you feel, OP. While I never would have voted for McCain, I would not have been as scared as I am right now if he was to get into the white house. But with Palin very possibly having to step in as president, I am scared for our safety! It was the absolute stupidest decision McCain has made and I believe it puts our country in jeopardy...

I'm not sure why John McCain's choice makes you angry, since he would not have been your choice for President, regardless of who he chose as his running mate.

It's not like you were a fervent McCain supporter, and then when he chose Sarah Palin, it made you feel forced to change to Senator Obama, even though he would not necessarily have been your first choice. Then perhaps I could see you being...disappointed...at Senator McCain's choice.

As an Independent, I personally think this whole electoral process has been an embarrassment, regardless of which side of the coin one is on. We in this country tend to lose sight of what is important...the issues...and tend to focus on whether Senator Obama smokes or not, Sarah Palin's eyeglasses, Cindy McCain's money, Michelle Obama's dress at the DNC, Joe Biden's latest "gaffe", whether John McCain ever wears a white dress shirt and all the other inanities of their lives.

And both sides are equally as guilty of that...just take a look at the DIS posts in the last few months...both sides are pretty equal in their postings of stupid things which are embarrassing, and, I guess in some people at least, anger producing.

Both sides are equally guilty of posting things like: "So Sarah Palin believes this, this and this about abortion...am I right?" as if they have no idea exactly what Sarah Palin believes and are just looking to gain "insight" from their DIS friends because we are such a diverse group and then give the wide-eyed innocent look.

Both sides are equally guilty of posting things such as "Does anybody think that even though Senator Obama's minister for 20 years is a bigoted racist, that Senator Obama, because he is so good, never absorbed any of that hatred?" because they too are looking for "insight" from their DIS friends rather than trying, just one more time, to pound home the fact that Senator Obama's religious advisor leaves a lot to be desired.

No, the ridiculousness is not confined to any one party, that's for sure.

YTL, my recommendation for you is that if you believe in Senator Obama's message, then don't worry about Senator McCain...work to get Senator Obama elected.

Your post did not live up to the title. You said you were going to tell us why you don't like her, but instead you just tell us that you don't like her.

This begs the obvious question: Why?

Thank you. I agree with this. I am an Obama supporter because I do agree with him on some of the issues. Not all of them but the ones that I hold important. I don't care who you vote for as long as it is based on ISSUES not the other person scares me (with no justification), skin color, sex, habits, or I have always voted for one party or the other.

This is one of the most important elections in probably ever. People need to take a step back and really look at the issues that will affect them on a daily basis - see who you agree with and vote for that PERSON not party.

As for why I am not a fan of Palin - (issues) she is not pro-choice, She thinks we ought to drill in Anwar with no conditions and before we use the area already slated for drilling, there is the impression that she favors military action over diplomacy. (beyond issues)I think, by listening to her speak in ALL of the interviews, that she is not a very smart person, she believes that man and dinosaurs walked the earth at the same time, and there is the possibility she abuses her power.

Now I am sure those that like her will come after me for that but it is my opinion in the same way that others have an opinion that differs. I do not judge anyone for that and therefore do not expect to be ridiculed or judged for mine.
There was a time in my life that I voted Republican but my life status has changed and my beliefs for personal freedoms have changed so I am voting Democrat for THIS election. In four years, who knows.
As my mom always said, vote for the person not the party.

We will be voting for the lesser of 2 evils, IMO. McCain will carry on the Bush torch and our country will continue to fail economically. Things have to change and Palin certainly is way too "off the deep end" for me to justify VP. She is totally anti-abortion. Sorry, women should have that choice. Of all candidates, he had to pick her???

I'm embarrassed that anyone would be foolish enough to vote for JM and Ms. 4 colleges in 6 years (One of which she flunked out of) and future mother in law of the "bleepin redneck" who likes to "shoot bleep for fun". Those are his words, not mine.

I completely agree. The putative spouses of candidates' children should be determinative of their worthiness for office.

I'm more scared if Obama is elected president. Palin is not as bad as people have claimed her to be. I don't believe she got where she is by being stupid. I think she needs to be given a chance. She has been so ripped apart by the media that it makes me want to vote for her more. I look at how BAD things are right now and how we got here. I would have thought with all the experienced people we have in Washington that things would be alot better. That has turned out to be wrong. So I guess I'll take my chances with someone who lacks the same experience as the guys in Washington. Maybe someone like her is just what we need.

I think that Palin has been ripped to shreds, often unfairly. However it's not unexpected.

I just wonder where experienced Republican women such as Kay Bailey Hutchinson are. If McCain had to have a female running mate, why Palin?

ITA:thumbsup2 I esp like the part that she is not the same old that we have in Washington.
