Why get a newspaper delivered

We only want the Sunday paper. We only pay for the Sunday paper. However, last year they started selling Fri/Sat/Sun paper for the same price as just the Sunday edition. Ever since then our delivery person brings all three papers even though we've repeatedly said we only want the one day. There are days we forget to pick up the Friday or Saturday paper from the porch (we use the back door mostly). They get paid by their advertisers for the number of papers in circulation. They don't seem to care if someone actually wants them or reads them.

Sometimes I forget to walk down the drive and get it. Or sometimes I just don't feel like leaving the house. And then there are those days I'm running late and step over it on the way to the car and when I get back home, can't be bothered to walk back down to get it. I guess it all can be chalked up to laziness.

Grrrr... Somedays it arrives late (after we have left for an outing for the day) due to a rather inconsistent newspaper carrier. This especially irks my husband since he works for said newspaper.

We have next door neighbors who do this and I wonder why they waste their money on the paper. They get a daily delivery and don't even bother to read it. We can always tell it is trash day because the previous 7 days paper finally get thrown out..........
We have this to deal with and the grass they killed 3 years ago.....
Oh they have the 'loveliest' house in the neighborhood...... and the mom stays home during the day so there is no excuse...... trash cans usually don't get brought in until two days later....................
