Why don't they just leave us alone!

So we're not the only ones? :grouphug: DW and I have come to the conclusion that we just don't need any more points... about 10 times now. Then the next day we start talking about it all over again. Somehow I know its inevitable that we'll add on, but I'm trying to hold out :hourglass:

I thought if we ever got to 470 points (LOL), we'd be home free. :guilty:

I mailed my docs LAST WEEK! :rotfl:

Anyway, I can see why so many are struggling with throwing it away.......

It's not an Offer It's ART!

Beautiful pic of the castle. They did that on purpose :rotfl:

I broke down and called this afternoon . . . 120 more points - wooohooo!

Will 560 points be enough?????

Maybe we need to start a DVC points anonymous forum . . .

Brochure is sitting on the coffee table right next to me. I have looked at it several times and have discussed it with DH but we know with DS in college we really can't afford to add on at this time. If I could get the same offer for my home resort it sure would be tempting. Annmarie

The temptation of it all! It just seems that you cannot ever have enough points! Why does the price have to be so high? When did the price go so high?! Ha ha ha  I guess I was thinking that the points were at $80. still. Silly me! The no dues feature is awful exciting.

How would this really compare to buying a resale at a desired resort. We love Beach Club and Old Key West, but own 210 at BWV and 150 at VWL. We spent one night at the BWV and never stayed at VWL (They are both always sold out every time we go - 5 years in the running)! What are the odds of that!? We never go during major holidays, and I still cannot get the ressies I want. I am leary to buy an extra 120, and then only be able to stay at SSR.

The SSR resort is pretty, but it is just not me, and I am semi wondering once the newness of being a new SSR owner wears off if many will not want to book elsewhere too - thus leaving SSR as the only always available resort.

Keep in mind, I live in Michigan and the VWL is reflective of being "Up North" in our cabin, so it is never one of our first choices for a place to stay either. You want something exotic and different. It is tough to be at the seven month window all of the time. If I could feel a greater level of assurance, I would pounce on this deal. :guilty:

Gosh. We have had 190 points for over 10 years now, go once a year, and had enough left over points to rent 9 rooms at Vero Beach last summer for a family reunion. What is this with 450 points??

Know exactly how you feel. Got mine today in the mail. I knew it was coming. I already knew of the offer from reading her. I added 50 pts month in half ago at SSR. Still was tempted into doing this. Then again its paying the mortgage or living at disney couple times of the yr..lol :teeth:

I vote for living at Disney a couple times a year :rotfl2:

Well, if you don't want the temptation, you could always move to a state where DVD isn't allowed to market, like Nebraska! (I think there are 3 or 4 states with similar laws.) Of course, I'm trying to resist paying a visit to the SSR sales location during our upcoming trip to BWV in May!
