Why doesn't Monsieur Paul get more love?

We ate here for the first time a few weeks ago and, as someone who has eaten many meals at signature restaurants, it was among the very best meals I've ever had at WDW (I know all restaurants can have on and off nights and maybe we just caught them on a good night but we were seriously blown away by how good it was).

Is it because people find the restaurant to be too stuffy (and/or too un-kid friendly)? Is it because the restaurant is relatively small and hidden away? Is it the prices? (yes, it's very expensive OOP but an excellent use of dining credits, IMO, especially if on the DxDP).

Anyway, it was the best (and most expensive) meal I've ever had in a theme park by a wide margain (and at least on par with, if not better than just about any resort signature meal I've ever had).

Great question. I forget about it a lot or can't get a late reservation (I can't do super advance planning, for ANY vacation). Great food and service though and I don't think they run people through like a lot of the other restaurants.

We ate there on our last trip and it was by far DH's favorite of the trip, tied with Shula's because surf and turf is hard to beat for him. He had the duck breast and now wants to make it. He does that a lot. We were very impressed with the food and service. The atmosphere is so much nicer than a lot of WDW restaurants. We would do it for our next trip but there are so many new places plus F&W will be in full swing so we couldn't fit it into my plans (which could still change). So.....Here is some love for Monsieur Paul :lovestruc

It is delicious! Maybe because it seems so tucked away that people might not realize it's there.

I agree. It seems to barely get a mention here on the DIS. We've eaten there 4 times (all with my young DS in tow) and have always had great food and great service. I love how quiet it is and a little off the beaten track. Definitely the best signature in the EP area, IMHO.

Really good restaurant that I always forget even exists when making plans.

I was planning on going on my next trip. But they recently posted a new menu and it was not something I could do. So Chefs de France for me.

We ate there when we had the DxDP and the food was excellent, ambience nice, and it was a great value! We'd go back even for OOP.

We ate there in 2014 and it was terrific, though I thought the server was a bit snobby and pushy. Honestly this is the one in-park restaurant I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing park attire to, and that makes it kind of a hassle to eat there for us. If we ever stay at one of the Epcot-area resorts so that it wouldn't be a big hassle to change into slightly nicer clothes, we'd eat there again.

And I know people will respond saying they ate there in park attire, and there's nothing wrong with that, I just would personally feel underdressed there in shorts and a Figment t-shirt.

Has anyone gotten a vegetarian entree there? I'm sure (with advance notice) they could put something together, but I'd love to hear about a first-hand experience.

I made a reservation for MP for our next trip, great to see the happy reviews!

Sorry to be the naysayer, and everyone should judge for themselves, but our meal was worse than mediocre and our server was simply a snob. We understand that dining at Disney is expensive and prepare for it but felt our charge here was ludicrous for the value received. It's one location we agreed we won't try again.

We had a wonderful meal there during Food & Wine. Lots of wine and food. Almost three hours of dining and drinking.

The problem is they have a dress code and I am sorry but in park restaurants should not have a dress code as most people are not going to go to epcot for one evening and most are not going to go back to their resorts to change clothes to go back to the park to eat dinner, I know I would not

I am always amused by servers who are snobby simply because they work in a fancy restaurant. Um, you're still a server. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it ain't exactly an upper echelon job.

I wasn't in love with the service we had both times, but I have had the very best beef tenderloin I've ever had there. And the potatoes - to die for. We did feel that we were being rushed through dinner a bit so we decided not to eat there last trip.
