Why doesn't Disney sell...

Disney has really dropped the opportunity to maximize its photo images - perhaps so it can seel the photopass better.

They should do a better job with postcards, books, posters, etc. I'm not sure why they don't have a program to create postcards from digital photos at a 1-hour kiosk etc.

They used tyo have a great packet of postcards for each resort ...

Disney obviously thinks that we are better photographers than WE think we are...

The Contemporary gift shop had them last August. A small selection though and I think we spent about $14 on a few postcards!

That is a great idea, they could print your photopass pics on a postcard. (and charge significantly more money than a generic postcard.) I too noticed the lack of postcards on my last trip, dissapointing. ~ducky

I didn't think that had a very good selection. But a couple years ago i wanted to send a postcard to each of the kids i worked with and was able to pick out 18 different ones. we found them at AKL.

Agreed. We did the same, however we were in DTD.

Snail mail is dying. Why send a postcard via the USPS when you will be home before it is but you can send email cards at several different locations throughout Disney World? Those are free.

And honestly, buying postcard stamps is a PITA. You only use them for one purpose. If you have any left over, you have to get other stamps for a letter.

This is how I would love to see Disney World market postcards. Right next to the photo frames. The postcards would fit into the frames and make a nice lasting memory of your trip. Or, you could send them through the mail. Duel purpose and more frames sold. And they should make it known they sell postcard stamps at the retail price.

If you're willing to go offsite for a while the hundreds of huge gift shops that line Rt 192 and International Drive sell a TON of really nice postcards for really cheap. Every year I get a bunch of them for $0.25 - $0.50 to decorate the photo album I always put together of the trip. If you're really looking for some nice ones, it's worth the ten-minute drive :thumbsup2

1) At one time, there were lots and lots of different postcards.
2) People just didn't buy them.
. . . they were expensive
. . . folks on vacation don't send all that many postcards any more

This won't help anybody looking to buy postcards in WDW, but for a look at almost 50 years of Disneyland postcards "The Nickel Tour" is great.

The 2000 2nd edition (which I have) can be purchased on the amazon marketplace website.

Price ranges from a mere $289.95 up to $680.99!!!!

It is a nice book though.
