Why Doesn't Disney Like Me????

Good grief! :headache: You sure do have a bad way of looking at life! If you honestly think your trip is ruined because of these reasons that practically everyone else is dealing with than perhaps you should just stay home. WDW already has Eeyore and honestly doesn't need more of his gloomy attitude.

Cheer up and look at the bright side of life. You can apparently afford a nice vacation, you will be on vacation, you won't be at work, you will be with your loved ones. A bad day at WDW is still better than a great day at home (for me atleast). You need to change your way of thinking or nothing is every going to be great even when it is all rainbows and unicorns!

What Malibustyle23 said....:faint:! I'll gladly take your place. Been wishing and hoping for the past year for a little bit of luck to come our way...thought I'd get a chance to join others from the Photography thread in the early fall. No "luck" has come our way; I'm scheduled to be AT HOME instead of at DW. "A bad day at DW is still better than a great day at home....". ENJOY your trip...honestly, your "glass IS half full"....:thumbsup2. :tink:

Actually, the "last couple" threads I started were a check-in thread, trying to track which resorts had fridges or not, which bldgs, dates, etc., in the hopes this would help everyone wondering about it---not just me.

I asked about ideas for my tween boys in World Showcase and got some fantastic responses about ways to make that part of our trip special for them.

I asked what was involved in adding a day to my tickets once we're down there, in case we want an extra park day. Imagine Debbie Downer wanting extra time in the parks!

Yep, complaints all!

I said the last ones I'd seen. That doesn't mean I saw every single one of your threads. The fact that at least one other thread you started was memorable as a complaint thread is what stuck in my head. After that post your name stuck out to me and I noticed other negative posts in threads you've made. Probably because your posts remind me a lot of my sisters FB status updates.

I truly hope you do have a wonderful time on your vacation and don't let these little things get you down. They'll only kill the magic if you let them.

So....is that kind of like focusing only on the negatives and not acknowledging the positives? ;)

I intentionally started my original post with the fact that we're going, that we were lucky to get free dining, that we're going to have a great time, etc. But everyone here chose to ignore that part of my post and jump on me for daring to complain at all about anything.

I'll admit I'm not Little Mary Sunshine every single minute of every single day. I'd venture to guess that's true for everyone. All the people who jumped on me, not one of them has ever complained about anything? Not one has ever lost sight of the big picture because of little annoyances? Not one has just had a couple of "those days" where things just don't seem to be breaking right? Not one has ever wanted to vent---even if it is, Horrors!, twice within a couple weeks?

You'd think I was about to jump off a bridge because I didn't get a FP+ invite. Trust me, I'm not. Disney is not my whole world, by any means. It seems that's not true for some people here. These little annoyances are just that.

OK, if most of your first post was not meant to be negative and a downer, then it would be safer (for your peace of mind) to not post in that vein. People can only 'read' what you post, not what your intentions behind them were. We don't 'know' you, so can't tell what your 'ordinary self' is.

Considering what your rants were about, it just seems that little things for you cloud the 'greatness' of the big picture. I am an optimist by nature, mostly go with the flow, so there are few things at Disney that truly bother me. My 'rant' for the decade was in taking away my beloved MSB (as it truly 'was'). Have been going to since it opened (mid '80's - I think) and that change hurt.

Have a great pixiedust: trip!

Maybe you should reread the posts. Many posters told you to relax and enjoy your vacation and try not to worry. Again, it comes down to the glass is half full analogy. Honestly, some of your responses have been sarcastic, snarky and defensive. When you post the reasons why you feel the cards are stacked against you, when you have free dining at POFQ (a highly coveted resort), you have to expect that not everyone will agree with you or see your point of view.

FWIW...I truly do wish you a magical vacation. pixiedust:

The title of your posts has a lot of impact. Start with a title like Why Doesn't Disney Like Me and it is really hard not to read the entire post in a negative light. Really after that it doesn't matter how much positive you put in there. The title sets the tone.
