Why does this happen!!!

I got on the scale this morning and GAINED A POUND, after 3 days at the previous weight.

This is very disheartening because I didn't cheat or anything.

I am never going to get to my goal by June 19th this way!!
 
It can be so frustrating when the scale doesn't cooperate. Are you near TOM?

I know one of the things we are told as dieters over and over again is that the scale doesn't tell the whole story. Are you working out with weights? That can make a difference. What about your water intake? Are you measuring?

I try not to weigh everyday but it's hard. Our bodies weight fluctuate on a daily basis so I try not to weigh more than once per week but like I said it's hard.

I have faith that you will make your goal by June 19th if you just keep doing what you know you need to do!
 
It's tough, but try and hang in there.

Don't let the scale discourage you. I don't weight myself more than every other week, that way little fluctuations dont throw you off.
 
Don't worry about the 1lb. Like Lisa said our bodies are constantly fluctuating in weight. That 1lb will probably be gone tomorrow. Besides, June is still a ways off. You have 10 more days of March, then all of April and May too. Sp stick with our program, and if it feels better to say that you're still at yesterday's weight, then do that. I sometimes find that helps my mind stay on program instead of getting upset over 1lb.

weigh yourself once a week -- same bat-time, same bat-place and use that to gage your progress. Salt, alcohol, hormones, heavy meals, wind, snow, sun, blah blah blah, all that affects my weight and probably yours too ;)

there are some die-hard everyday weigher inners here, but that would drive me crazy!! i will "sneak" a weigh in maybe one other time a week, but beyond that I resist
