Why does Starring Rolls Café close at 4??

You guys aren't going to believe this, but today is the first time I've ever been to Starring Rolls Café in Disney's Hollywood Studios. We got here way before they closed, but as I'm sitting here loving my iced water on this humid day, I'm shocked at the sheer number of people who have come only to be turned away as they closed at 4:00 p.m.

Anyone know why this location closes so much earlier than the park closes for the night?

I think it is just suppose to be a quick place for lunch. I remember 3 years ago, going in and getting the last butter finger cupcake, then I ran down toward ToT to the ice cream place and got ice cream. Those cupcakes ar huge.

I had thought it was perhaps due to Starring Rolls sharing the same kitchen as HBD and they needed all the kitchen for dinner prep. But now, does HBD serve the same menu for lunch and dinner?

AFAIK Starring Rolls has closed at 3:00 or 4:00 since it first opened. It's intended only as a breakfast/lunch Bakery.

I often wondered this too, as it's nearly impossible for us to get to HS early enough to ever go there.

I remember a CM telling me that they had fairly limited space in the back. This came up because she was trying to find my daughter some nut free treats that hadn't been around the Butterfinger and Peanut Butter cupcakes. It was already 2ish, so she said options were limited. So, maybe it's just not feasible to keep it fully stocked from park opening to close? Just a theory.

I'm guessing they close at 4:00 because there is not a big demand for pre-made cold cut sandwiches and gas station quality sushi for folks at dinner. ... But I will say that I do enjoy Starring Rolls for their cupcakes.

Because they don't want us to have anything good to eat in the Studios for dinner.

I still haven't eaten there so I beat you. It's always so crowded when we walk by that we just keep on swimming.
