Why does my confirmation say this?

I reserved 2 rooms (rooms only -- no packages) at the WL back in October for May 2005. When the AP rates were recently released I had the AP discount applied to my reservation. I just received my new confirmation form reflecting the AP rate, but it also reads:

"Remaining package amount is due by 04/23/05 [which is a month before my trip] ***No additional notices will be sent***"

Above this under "Package type" it does say "7 night Passholder Room Only offer". This is my first trip with an AP -- does the balance have to be paid ahead of time?

I usually have the room paid off before we go anyway, but what if I didn't have it paid off before 04/23 -- is the reservation cancelled?
 
look at the codes and discounts suboard here. there is a thread discussing this called "check those dates".
 
as I said on that thread, I was told that my balance was due on checkin. I even recall asking what payment options that the desk accepted.

Apprantely, there has been some mix up with a lot of the AP room only ressies. The computers are treating it like a package. Supposively, the balance is still only due upon checkin no matter what your letter says, but it makes me nervous.
 

Thanks, I'll check that thread. It made me a bit nervous also...
 
I called on this and was told no...you don't have to pay the balance til check-in...but I agree...I'm still nervous.

I guess we'll probably put it on VISA by the date it says...and hey, we'll earn more Disney dollars for the next trip! :goodvibes
 
I was wondering this exact same thing!!! I got our confirmation yesterday, and it had the same note "Remaining package amount due by 4/20/05..." We also applied the AP rate last week. I called CRO a little while ago and inquired, and nice CM said that must have been a computer glitch and she sees in her computer that our balance isn't due until we get there. I asked that she send me a new confirmation because I just want to be sure. She said no problem.

I'm 99% sure that even if I didn't ask for a new confirmation, all would be fine though...
 
I also received the same type of confirmation letter! Must have been a major computer glitch with all of us AP holders calling to apply the new rates.
 
I got the same type of letter. I called and double-checked with CRO and they said the money was due at check-in; however, she did have to change something in the reservation to show that it was not a package. I asked her to send me a new confirmation letter anyway. If you have received this type of letter, I would call and make sure they have it in the computer correctly.
 
Yikes! Good thing I read this thread. Mine says the same thing and I didn't even notice.
 
I got the same letter, but since I hate owing money, I paid it off anyways(had planned to do this).. mine said it was due april 1st(we are gonna be there april 22nd-30th :umbrella:
