Why does Frozen close in inclement weather?

I've noticed an odd trend at Epcot over the past few months. Whenever there's rain or a storm, Test Track closes- which makes sense due to the outdoor track section. But Frozen also appears to close around the same time as TT, and usually opens around the same time. Since the ride is indoors, does anyone know why it tends to close in the rain?

FEA closes more often than most attractions. It has also been a rainy couple of months in Florida. You're making a connection where there isn't one.

I don't know, but I have always been told not to take a shower during a thunderstorm. Perhaps something to do with the water? Wild theory I know.

Really I take showers all the time during thunderstorms I don't let Mother Nature dictate when I take care of my personal hygiene

Frozen wouldn't close due to a storm or rain. It closes due to technical issues they experience. Would just be a coincidence if a storm is there during when it goes down

According to Mythbusters you shouldn't shower during a thunderstorm. Not that you have a high chance of lightning or shock but it does raise it

Oh No - my dd loves this ride and it seems to break down every time we have a FP+ usually at the end of the day and they don't/won't/haven't been able to give us a FP+ for another day. I am sure we will love the Frozen dessert party just for the Illuminations view and goodies but if the ride isn't operating that's going to be a really big problem for my dd.....

so I am xx fingers for a great Frozen Dessert party and a working ride next Thursday!

Actually there is truth to this. A coworker raises ducks and she had a metal pipe running from a water supply to her duck pond. During a storm, the lightening hit the pipe and traveled along it into the pond. Poor ducks. The metal pipe with running water is a conduit for the lightening to travel along. I sure won't take the chance! I'll fill the tub and take a bath instead.

That's about all you can do. There is guest recovery in place should FEA be down.

That's a big part of what CMs do, smooze with and harass guests. Unfortunately I'll be annoying guests at that party only on Friday next week.
