why does everyone hate the nemo ride?

Possibly not, but "Would people like it if it were always mediocre?" isn't the best argument.

It wouldn't be the first thing that was always mediocre at Disney. Every attraction has someone who loves it, some just have people who hate it too.

I don't really mean it would make people like it more, just maybe hate it less? If that makes sense.

Yeah, I dragged my whole family to Peter Pan's Ride and just waited for the accolades. Only one other person actually liked it. I couldn't believe it. Yet, these are the same people who said Stitch wasn't so bad.

There rarely a line, so it is fine for me. Nothing special, but I'm happy to sit and ride through it for a minute or two on the way in to the aquarium.

Actually though, I wanted to try Nemo on our next visit, if we have any extra time. The last time I was there was when it was the other version where you would take the "hydroculator" or whatever. My dh and dd17 will probably be bored, but I think the clamshells are cute, so I'm going on the ride!

What a silly thread title to say "everyone" hates anything when you can't speak for everyone. For the OP to ask "why do I hate the Nemo ride" might be a more reasonable question and at least not be completely wrong. The Nemo ride is cool, especially if you have little kids that like Nemo. But then again maybe Disney should make all their rides only appeal to one demographic.......

I like the Nemo ride just fine when there's nobody taking flash photos in the shell next to me. I usually won't ride it more than once on any given trip, but it's cute.

I loved it! When my girlfriends and I went drinking around the world at Epcot a few years ago we rode all the rides first, this was a favorite. It's nice and cold inside, lots of fun Finding Nemo characters, and the discovery center after the ride was fun too! We got a ton of great pictures in that section. Maybe since Fining Nemo is one of my favorite Pixar films I'm bias.

Nemo is one of my favorites too!! I've never been, but I wouldn't want to miss this ride!! I love Nemo, and everything ocean related. I'm quite excited about it

We love the Nemo ride. Ride it multiple times each trip and really enjoy it!

We think it's cute and well done if not a tad short. We actually do it several times per visit. I love the 'turtle tunnel' where the bubble effect makes it feel like you're sinking real fast. Like someone else mentioned though, Nemo is my favorite Pixar title so I may be character-biased.

While running through the usually empty queue, take a second to look around. the queue is really well done.

We go on the Nemo ride over and over and over again because DD loves it. I don't mind because Finding Nemo is a fave movie of mine and the first movie DD watched. I think the ride is cute, and I never experienced the ride it replaced and I've never been to DL so I can't compare it to anything.

I do my very best to avoid PP at MK. I just don't get why so many people think PP is a must do ride.

I actually prefer the Nemo ride to the previous "Seacabs". I liked Seabase Alpha and the Hydreolaters and idea that you were going deep underwater. But the Seacaps themselves were kinda boring as I recall, just generic ride vehicles traveling among the tanks where you might or might not get some nice views of aquatic life. I actually think that Nemo is an improvement as a ride that does something and you still have some view into the tanks as part of the ride.

Seabase Alpha (is it still called that?) is still mostly the same, isn't it? I know Turtle Time is now there, but the other exhibits are the same vein as before.

Now, that all being said, I do think that a better mixing of "old" Epcot and Nemo would have been better -- instead of just making it a generic "story of Finding Nemo" ride, I would have preferred a "Nemo and friends welcome you to the Living Seas" concept of Nemo/Dory/etc being your "hosts" who talk about and show you life under the sea without it just being a retelling of the movie. Would have been more interesting than both the boring old Seacabs and the current ride and been potentially engaging for both adults and children. Could have been more edutainment in line with Epcot of old. Oh well.

I wouldn't say I hate it but I'm not fond of the use of flat screen TVs built into the attractions the way they are in Nemo; they take me right out of the scene, and they seem to be Disney's favorite prop in attraction construction right now.

And actually, the lines can get long sometimes. I remember the first time I wandered in, it was a busy day during the Food and Wine Festival and I was all on my own. I had no idea how long the queue was, so I figured the line was just the first room. But no, there was a second room! And then a third! By the time it'd got to the end, I'd almost given up on ever making it onto the ride.

So, if that'd been my only impression of Nemo, I might not have been so impressed.

But that evening was my husband's first free time during his week-long conference. He and I went to Epcot, and began casually wandering around Future World. He'd never been on Nemo either, so we stopped in. This time the line was empty! We walked all the way up to the front, and got there just in time to see a couple people getting into their clamshells.

The CM stopped us and said, "You look like a happy couple! Just wait here, and I'll make sure you get a clamshell all to yourselves. No one on either side of you. It'll be romantic!"

We blushed and giggled and got into our shell, while he held back the folks behind us.

And, you know what? It WAS romantic! We sang along and held hands and had a great time.

Finding Nemo's now one of my favourite rides, and always will be.

But don't ride when the line's backed up to the door.
