why does DLR not have a toll free #

I don't think anyone would believe that Disney cannot afford it, I don't think anyone is saying that... they simply choose NOT to because it's an added cost to them that might be unfeasable because of the sheer amount of folks who will call that line for reasons that they shouldn't be calling.

I agree. Actually the added cost is not the cost of the toll free phone call (phone rates are incredibly cheap now), it's the resources to answer the call. And Disney tends to have high expectations of their cast members.

You're right about people calling for the wrong reasons.

For whatever reason, they have obviously decided that it's better not to. On the WDW forums, every time someone finds an 800 number and posts it, within the day the 800 number is gone.

I don't know what sort of calling voodoo magic I have but I've never waited more than 15 minutes for a disney number. Weird!
