Why do you need to avoid parks on EMH?

This maybe a crazy question but why do you need to avoid parks on EMH? Do you need to just avoic them during the EMH or all of that day etc... This is our first trip in 13 years and our first family trip so I am way out of the loop on the parks etc.. All tips are greatly appreciated

I think the reason or logic to avoiding EMH parks is that you will get all the extra on-site guests crowding into the park say for early EMH on top of all the off-site guests an hour later. That would make for a more crowded park all day in theory. The same for the evening hours, you would get proportionally more on-site guests and well as all the other guests that were already there even before the EMH begins. From most of the posts I've read, it seems like the evening EMH get super crowded!

I can't wait to see what the EMH crowds are like in the slow season. When we were there the first week of Jan 2005 (the first week of EMH), the park was empty for EMH night. I'll assume no one knew about it (except us...heehee). But I would say it was early Spring when people started posting that the EMH nights were too crowded.

The September and October trippers will let us know.

This is what I was wondering since we are going in Oct will EMH be different than what we have heard over the summer, or if all EMH are crowded (compared to normal days) and need to be avoided
