As this really should not wait for an update, I wanted to explain to everyone on what Brookie's problem turned out to be.

We really didn't realize it at the time but finally figured it out after our vacation when it happened again. From what I figured out is that she is extremely sensitive to chlorine water and if she does not get rinsed off soon enough after swimming, then a couple days later she has bad pain "down there". It took one more swim at her grammy's pool for me to realize this. So, now we have to rinse her off immediately after swimming. But I also found that if I coat her area with Balmex before swimming then that helps.

It is just too bad that we didn't know this before our trip and it had to happen on our last day. Now you'll just have to stay tuned to see if she recovered from her pain ...

Thanks for filling us in on that. How awful and probably quite painful for her

At least now you know what the problem is and how to avoid it.

Thanks for the update. Problems like that are actually pretty common for little girls. I hope she felt better througout the day!

You're poor cutie pie! At least you got it sorted out and can avoid it in the future!

that video was adorable. I never ventured over to AB section, it looks really nice and different from the mansions.

Sorry to hear that Brookie was not feeling well. Sad on your last full day you had to go back to the hotel. Hopefully it will work out. Glad you now know what it is from.

Our last full day was here. I could feel it already. But I was very glad that we saved our last day to spend at the Magical Kingdom. We were not in a hurry to get there. We planned on sleeping in, getting ready, going to the Magic Kingdom. I planned on renting an ECV for the day because my feet were absolutely killing me.

Always sad to go home. ECV? Is that one of the little "cars" you can drive around in? If so, I'm with you! I wanted to rent one every day but LtP wouldn't let me. She was complaining about having to do all the pushing on the stroller. Women!! :confused3

They need a little "beer holder". Then they'd be perfect.

Brookie was a jabber-jaw on our walk to the bus stop. She was definitely ready to go.

That's how you know it was a GOOD vacation! :thumbsup2

A Magic Kingdom bus arrived and a bunch of people swarmed to the door to get on. However, another bus came up behind. This bus was a Disney Cruise Line bus - the ones with the “port-hole” windows. There was a sign in the front window that said Magic Kingdom so I had the family casually walk over there and we were the first ones on the bus there and had a lot of room to ourselves. Ha Ha! To those fools all rushing to get on the packed bus.

Wow! Lucky. I didn't know they used those to get to the parks???:confused3

I told Rob to take Brookie to the restroom near the First Aid Center whilst I got the stroller with the boys. The boys and I got the double stroller and we headed over to the restrooms. As we were waiting for Rob and Brookie to come out of the restroom, I took 2 pictures. First, an odd angle of the railroad station ...

... and then the fire house. This one was taken especially for Rob as he is a volunteer fireman.

Awesome pix. Doesn't look that crowded.

It didn’t really take long before Rob came out and Brookie was still crying. Rob said, “Is this piss on the everything in the bathroom day?” Rob was ticked. He said the bathroom was disgusting and refused to even attempt to have Brookie go potty in there.

I woulda been ticked TOO!

I walked back out with Brookie crying. I handed Rob his and the boys’ KTTW cards along with the child swap passes saved from Sunday. I told Rob that I would go back to the room with Brookie in hopes of her feeling better. We had 2 adult table service meals and 1 child TS meal left. I told Rob to take the boys to the Liberty Tree Tavern at 11:40 am for lunch and make sure Evan gets an adult meal.

We said our goodbyes and I told Rob to call me after lunch ...

Oh man! Not on the last day! :sad1:

At least it was nothing serious! Whew!

When Moan Boy was just a toddler, he went into some fits and convulsions at WDW! We were staying at the Boardwalk.

Well, I went and grabbed the car while LtP asked where the nearest clinic was. It's just north of the Crossroads area if anyone ever needs it... real close.

Anyway, we found out that the problem was caused by some crazy vitamin supplement that LtP was giving him.

We quit giving it to him and he was fine after that.

But it's very scary to be so far from home and have something like that happen. I always remember exactly where that clinic is even today. If I need it, I can be there in 15 minutes.

Poor baby. I was thinking UTI, which would be heck on a plane. :(

Good to hear that you figured out what the problem for Brookie was, even though it was too late for that trip! It sounds like your last day really did not get off to a good start at all! As bad as it is when things don't work out, I always try to see that just as a reason to return to have a new attempt!

Another thing to try to avoid is having her sit around in a wet bathing suit... if she is going to be out of the pool for any extended period of time, change to a dry suit. Especially with public pools, where the chlorine level is MUCH higher than in the backyard variety. Poor thing...

Our friend's DD caught a nasty case of strep throat last visit - really spiked a fever and vomiting... the doctor came right to the hotel room. Of course, it cost a small fortune, but good to know that's available, too.

At least you now know what causes it, Jess has a similar problem but with salt water, she hates the sea!!!!!

I'm glad we know now. It is hard when she is crying, then fine, then really crying and we had no real idea. And the horror of where the pain was!

Thanks for the update. Problems like that are actually pretty common for little girls. I hope she felt better througout the day!
I figured girls would be more susceptible to that with all their nooks and crannies ... ;)

You're poor cutie pie! At least you got it sorted out and can avoid it in the future!
At least I know I can avoid it. Now having Rob remember is another thing ...

that video was adorable. I never ventured over to AB section, it looks really nice and different from the mansions.
I wish I could get a better video quality as video really helps with how pretty it was there!

Sorry to hear that Brookie was not feeling well. Sad on your last full day you had to go back to the hotel. Hopefully it will work out. Glad you now know what it is from.
Thank you. It did stink that it was our last day. But it will get better ... hint.

Oh yes! The electric wheelchair of sorts! I was willing to fork out the bucks for that - and Rob was too! My feet hurt that much. But I guess if you just want to scoot around on it ... then I'm with LtP. ;)

They need a little "beer holder". Then they'd be perfect.
Too bad it was for the MK tho ...

Wow! Lucky. I didn't know they used those to get to the parks???:confused3
I don't think they do so much. I saw them a couple of times though and it was pretty cool, except we didn't get to enjoy it much as Brookie was crying. :confused3

Awesome pix. Doesn't look that crowded.
From what I remember that morning ... wait ... I can't remember other people at all that morning. But wait until you see my next update's video ... I will be dedicating it to you. But you have to wait patiently for it.

I woulda been ticked TOO!
The ladies rooms were always clean.

That is good to know. Was this before his disability was diagnosed or after? Just curious on why LtP was giving him the vitamins.

Celebration has a medical center also. My cousin had to bring her son there because he had a concussion from a fall at the AK that went unnoticed for 3 days! She felt so bad ... and won the mom of the year award NOT.

Aw that's no fun on vacation!
Nope.

Poor Little Brookie :(... I am at work so I can't watch your youtube... will have to view that tonight.... But sounds like little Brookie good then bad morning... hugs to her.... and you... for giving up your MK time for your little princess... see... I knew you were a good mom :goodvibes
You'll enjoy the video. It's only about 2 minutes. And thanks for saying I'm a good mom. Actually, I will give myself a pat on the back for that one! :goodvibes

Poor baby. I was thinking UTI, which would be heck on a plane. :(
Oh no! UTI would have been worse and thank goodness it wasn't that.

Wishing we could go back. It's not in the near future though. But we did have a great vacation and the next time will be better. I always say that! ;)

Okay Mom. Kidding. The Balmex treatment beforehand really does help. So I would probably do that for any public stuff. But that's not in the near future now.

Our friend's DD caught a nasty case of strep throat last visit - really spiked a fever and vomiting... the doctor came right to the hotel room. Of course, it cost a small fortune, but good to know that's available, too.
I knew about those docs. I couldn't imagine paying for that though!

At least you now know what causes it, Jess has a similar problem but with salt water, she hates the sea!!!!!
Oh dear. Not salt water. I love the ocean and am so glad that I can go in there without a problem.

That video is so cute, Brookie is like a little mommy reminding the boys "Don't go too far, don't go too far, Hey! Get back here!":lmao:

Poor Brookie, that sounds awful. I am glad that you were able to figure out what it was once you got home.

LOVE the video of brookie....."don't go far 'wayyyyy!!!" so cute!

i hope she feels better soon! that's awful to have happen at WDW. poor thing. :sad2: don't take this the wrong way, but it's so cute that she calls her privates her 'gina! my best friend's little boy calls his the P-word that i know will get sensored if i type it here (even thought it's not a curse word!) and he calls a girls area a "VERgina." that stuff just cracks me up!!!! i hope that's not inappropriate. :scared:

that's what i thought it was too. :sad1: poor little Brooke, what a lousy thing to happen on your last day!
Glad it wasn't a UTI. Things did get better but not before it got worse ...

She totally cracked me up when I watched the video. I wasn't paying attention to her when we were actually walking. I was watching the boys and Rob obviously was the Brookie watcher.

First, that video is TOTALLY Brookie. She is like that at home. A little bossy britches.

Second, I don't think you were inappropriate. I don't know what the DISboards are like with that kind of stuff but it is related to my TR ... ;) I am all for kids calling their privates by the appropriate names but we do sometimes say other things. It depends on why it is actually coming up in conversation. Things like, "Hurry and get dressed or the boys will see your hoochie coochie." I always liked that one. But when we are serious, the appropriate name comes up.

I'll have to PM you with another one ...
