It was time for Farmer Mickey. Of course, he was just as good as the rest and the kids enjoyed him.

Brookie wasn’t looking so let’s try again ... Doesn’t Alec look fine here?

Near the end of our meal Alec announced that he was tired and laid down. Chip was one of the last to visit us and he covered Alec up with the napkins.

Alec really fell asleep. With all that commotion going on, he still konked out!

After dinner, it was back to discussing what we would do. The plan was to leave. It was going to be a long day at the Magic Kingdom tomorrow on our last day. However, as we were slowly walking, we saw the line to get the wrist bands for EMH. I jumped in line and Rob asked me why I was getting the wrist band. I said, “Well, maybe I changed my mind. Let’s just get these and see what happens.” So we all got our wrist bands and headed toward Spaceship Earth. As we approached there were a bunch of CMs there and the it was closed down. They said there were problems in there and they had no idea of when it might reopen. We kinda just stood there and then I looked at the kids. They looked wiped out. As much as I wanted to stay at Epcot, I knew it would be better to get back and get a good night’s rest. I was a bit sad at this point knowing that was our last day at Epcot. But I was excited about our final day at the Magic Kingdom.

So, we returned to POR at around 9 pm and slowly walked back to our room. We all got washed up and ready for bed in hopes of a wonderful magical day ... our last day ...

As much as I TOTALLY understand you getting in line for the wristbands... you made the right decision about "calling it a night!"

I made a dopey decision about EMH our first night! After getting to bed at 3:30 am and then up at 9am (due to the horrific flight delays) and getting to EPCOT at 11 am, I should have just "called it a night" and returned to the Dolphin at 9pm. But, NO.... it's EMH at Magic Kingdom!! Let's go see!!!
I thought we were going to die by midnight. Just TOO MUCH - and of course Dana was disappointed because we were in Magic Kingdom - COME ON - let's DO some more!! It really is hard to not get caught up with all the magic and pace yourself, or save it for "next time"!

Hi DM, I am finally online again! It seems like you had a great time at Garden Grill! I think leaving Epcot was probably a really wise decision! I actually try to avoid parks with evening EMH so that I am not tempted to stay there.

For what it's worth--we didn't like Epcot EMH cause they wouldn't use the FP machines.

What is it about Spaceship Earth? My DD wanted to ride it so bad but thankfully it was shut down.

It is a good place to take a nap.

In ALL our trips to WDW, we've never done EMH. The horror!

Back in the day, LtP and I did do what they called Early Entry. It was fun but now we've learned to avoid EMH parks. It's just our little plan.

Anytime you can make a kid fall asleep during a meal, you can call your vacation a success. You gotta keep driving 'em like a dog-sled team!

I think you made a wise choice not to stay for EMH. It probably would have made for cranky tired children on your last day - the day you want to be special

I was just a bit surprised that Alec fell asleep. He can get tired but rarely falls asleep. He is my late to bed, early to rise kid.

Sleeping kids is good. But only 1 at a time isn't enough. I am not near the end of my TR. I think I will drag it out the best I can ... at least hope I can.

Welcome back. You must be very busy. We had a great time in Epcot altogether. Rob & I both agreed that that day was one of our best, even though we left earlier than we wanted.
