Boys Day at Blizzard Beach

[So, Evan bravely went down Summit Plummet all by himself. My preemie baby going down Summit Plummet! Ahhhhhhhhh....even I did not go on that the last time I was at Blizzard Beach. My baby is growing up.

WOO HOO for EVAN!! Summit Plummet!!! :woohoo:
Dana and Bob wouldn't even try it, and they did EVERYTHING else in the "World"! :rotfl:

DM--Glad that you are feeling better.

Flossbolna--- you should try Frankenstien Castle durning Oct. while you are there. I went there when I was 10 and it was fun. They have some kind of festival or something with people dressed up as Frankenstien, Drucula and witches and such running around.

Boys Day at Blizzard Beach

Hopes:
1. More PhotoPass pictures taken
2. Rob, Evan & Alec have a great boys day...:dance3:
3. Brooke & I have a great girls day
4. My feet feel better with the blisters
4. A meeting with the Dream Team

Wants:
1. A good lunch at Cinderella’s Royal Table
2. A fun mommy/daughter day.
4. Have a good short rest at the resort in the afternoon
5. A good dinner at Raglan Road in DownTown Disney with the whole family.

Blizzard Beach EMH opened at 8 am so Rob & the boys definitely wanted to be there by then. So they woke up at the last possible moment, ate a couple of donuts, hopped in their bathing suits, and headed out to the bus at 7:20 am. The rest of this just does not go in any order as Rob is the worst for giving me details. So, here’s what they did. They all went around Cross Country Creek. The boys had fun on the ice floats in Tike’s Peak. They went to Melt-Away Bay and did some waves. They went up the Chair Lift and and went down Teamboat Springs. They all had fun on Runoff Rapids a couple of times. Actually, Alec only did it once because, so I’m told, he was too tired to walk the stairs back up. So Rob plopped him down next to a lifeguard and told him not to move until they came back down. Nice dad, eh? Alec was fine though. Now, for the most exciting part! They all went up the stairs to Summit Plummet but Alec was just too short for it (with sneakers he’s 48 inches but not without). So, Evan bravely went down Summit Plummet all by himself. My preemie baby going down Summit Plummet! Ahhhhhhhhh....even I did not go on that the last time I was at Blizzard Beach. My baby is growing up.

Blizzard Beach started getting crowded after noon so they all made it back to the resort just before 1 pm. They changed and went to Riverside Mill for lunch.

I know this is the most boring update ever. I thought I’d just get this one out so I can get going on my Magic Kingdom update. That update will not disappoint you!

Hey A short one...sometimes those are the Best...I am glad the Boy's Had fun!!!!!

Denise
I'll let it slide this time....;)

I fell behind so I'm gonna comment on the car thingie and then read the next page. Cuz I just can't wait to reply to it!

I have to admit when I saw the red, I was excited because I thought that was IT and it would go with your red hair! But white's ok too...:rolleyes1

hehe
But it's not my car so I don't really care if it matches me. But I do like the white....;)

Can't wait to hear about your girls only day!
Coming up today!

Dang--I had lots of possible images floating around in my head!
Because there's nothing else up there! :lmao:

Good Blizzard Beach update...especially for what you had to work with (Men! :sad2: ) I have not been on the Summit Plummit either....if the line was not so long every time I went there, maybe I would not chicken out!

Can't wait to read about the girls day!
Yes, I gave up trying to get a detailed report from Rob. Good enough I say! I will not go on Summit Plummet - no way, no how!

All caught up. Like the pics at AK, and the pic of Brooke sleeping. Sooo cute. Sounds like the boys had a good time.

Looking forward to your next update. Hopefully I will get an update on mine tomorrow.

I don't see the fun of having a huge wedgie. My brother went on it back in 1997 and he said it actually hurt.

sounds like the boys all had fun, and kudos to Evan for going down Summet Plummet.
He is very proud and still tells everyone!

DM--Glad that you are feeling better.

Check this out. Does anyone get the e-newsletter from All Ears? Well, my tip is featured in this week's newsletter:

DawnMaree Welch suggests: If you happen to have a clear plastic holder for your Keys to the World Cards, put your PhotoPass card with the scan showing through the clear plastic. Whenever you get your photo taken by a PhotoPass cast member, all the CM has to do is scan your card and it can be done without even taking the card out. After many times fumbling for our PhotoPass card, I'm so glad a CM saw me and told me about this. It sure saved some time and was so easy. I had the clear plastic holder attached to a lanyard around my neck, which made for even easier scanning!

I guess I am totally a celebrity now. I'll try to remember you little people....:rotfl2:

Tuesday, June 26...Magic Kingdom
Mommy & Daughter Morning

3. Brooke & I have a great girls day
4. My feet feel better with the blisters...:sad1:
4. A meeting with the Dream Team

I woke up before Rob so I could take a shower before the boys left. Brookie was still sleeping when they all left so I thought I would let her sleep. I thought, “How long can she really sleep?” Apparently, she could sleep until 9:30 am! But I let her. Even though it was Magic Kingdom’s early EMH, I was not going to rush Brookie and tire her out. I wanted our lunch at Cinderella’s Royal Table to be enjoyable without a cranky girl. Plus the fact was that my feet were killing me from the blisters on the balls of my feet. I decided to wear my pearl/orange Crocs Athens again as they were the most comfortable.

I had everything ready to walk out the door when she woke up. All I needed to do was give her some yogurt and get her dressed. I decided against taking the umbrella stroller. I had a bag filled with stuff for her plus the Cinderella gown. It would be too hard to maneuver the umbrella stroller with the bag and Brookie while getting on and off the bus. I figured Brookie could walk to the bus stop and through the front gates and we would get a double stroller
at the Magic Kingdom. We paid for it so we’re gonna get it!

She did great walking along and was excited about seeing Cinderella but I had to take care of something first - my feet. I decided to go to the first aid station to see if they could help me out a bit.
bustoaid.jpg

When the nurse came out she asked me what was wrong. I told her I would pay her a million dollars if she could help me with my blisters. The nurse took one look at my blisters and got a bunch of bandages. She double bandaged up my blisters and gave me extras to use later should I need them. She then told me that I didn’t have to pay her the million dollars and I told her that would be good because I didn’t have it anyway. I think she knew I wasn’t a millionaire...

I decided that Brookie and I would spend some time in Fantasyland before we had our 12:10 pm ADR at CRT. We made our way to Fantasyland but first had to take a picture of Cinderella’s Castle. I think it is written somewhere in Disney law books that everyone must take a picture of the castle each and every time they visit the Magic Kingdom...

We headed over to Winnie the Pooh and grabbed a FP for it and then headed over to Snow White.
aidtosnowwhite.jpg

I was a bit nervous it this would be too “kary” for Brookie but it wasn’t. But she wasn’t overly excited about it. She just sat and watched everything. From Snow White we went over to It’s a Small World.
snowtosmallworld.jpg

The line here was very short and I was thankful for that. Brookie and I got to sit in the front row. She loved Small World and seemed mesmerized by the music and the dancing dolls. It is so wonderful to experience certain things through your children. I’m not a big Small World fan but it really brought me joy just to watch Brookie during it.

Our FP time was ready for Pooh so we headed on over there.
smalltopooh.jpg

As we passed through the FP line, the CM at the front of the line forgot to take my FP ticket. I almost turned around but then I pocketed it. Brookie just loved the Tigger part where the honey pot bounces. When we got off Pooh, Brookie wanted to ride again. So, back in the FP line we went with the pocketed FP. Did I feel bad about doing that? Heck no! I considered it my own Dream FP.

It was getting close to our lunchtime and I still had to change Brookie into her Cinderella dress. We went over to the companion stall near Pinocchio’s Village Haus.
poohtochange.jpg

I got Brookie all dressed in her Princess gown and sat her back down in the stroller and started strolling back toward the castle. Brookie got so many oohs and ahs and she wasn’t sure what to make of it but smiled.

We checked in for our 12:10 pm ADR at about 11:50 am. While we were checking in a very nice CM came up to us and told us that Brookie would be the Honorary Princess of the Day! princess: They put this little sticker on her gown...

And this is where I end for now. The next update will include our whole lunch and a bunch of GOOD pictures!

Next installment...June 26...Magic Kingdom...Cinderella's Royal Table

Can't wait to see the pictures of Brooke in her Cinderella dress!! We were in MK that same day - it was HOT! That was the day we met up with my sister and her family and my brother-in-law promised me a "brazilian tour group flag" for next time! :lmao: Needless to say, we got A LOT accomplished that day!! LOL

It was nice of you to let Brooke sleep in! I was NOT that nice. :rotfl2:

I always have to do IaSW, but it was extra-special this time to see the kids taking it all in. I know exactly what you mean. :)

I'm excited for Brooke to be the Honorary Princess, and look forward to hearing more. I don't think this is something I'll ever experience, unless I get a granddaughter in 25 years... :rotfl:

Aww...Brookie on ITSA.
You're famous! That's awesome! (Don't they send you something for that?)

How cool about being in the newsletter. I do get it but haven't read it yet this week, I will to check that out now.

Can't wait to see how cute Brookie looks in her Cinderella dress and getting to be honourary princess of the day, how neat!
