What happened to the Dis discussion and why are we seeing all these sex ads as well as Russian ads? The sex ones are very inappropriate and for a Disney related site?

Really?

It somehow keys in on related searches. My DD had me look at some bridal shops and now all my ad links are for wedding favors and such.

Maybe try searching for some other sites and see if the ads redirect to those.

Yes, they would be related to activity on your computer. Try running your virus/malware software and deleting your cookies.

It would pull from what you've been looking at online.

Mine is all Disney movies. I uh..may have been looking at Disney ideas all day.

Some times mine change to my work clients lol Since I spend a lot of time doing research based on them, it changes all of my ads on websites to those. It's like work is always following me.

Clearing your cache and deleting cookies should help...until you start looking at that type of stuff again

Posters above are right. Those ads would only appear from activity on your computer. It doesn't have to do with disboards.

Yes I get totally different ads because of the sites I go to.

But OP do look for spyware mal ware, something may have taken over your ad feed.

I've been chasing these ads down like crazy, both filtering the websites and the ads individually. We have certain "sensitive categories" blocked on our our account, but it appears that "dating" websites is not an option and doesn't fall under what we currently have, so I'm doing it manually. These are definitely not something we want and I'm doing my best to block them as they come up.

The ads you see on various websites are driven by the pages you visit. For example, I have been looking at baby stuff for my sister and I searched for a phone number to schedule maintenance for my car. All of my ads are for Disney, Infiniti and Babies R Us. So, if somebody has been perusing "particular sites", looking up stuff for Filthy Shades of Gray or Googling certain images, that would prompt for you to get those type of ads. If that is not you doing that, your computer just told on somebody else in your house.

If WDW Info/Disboards could select the ads, I assure you this is not what they would choose. ;)

Not necessarily. On my mobile, where I don't have ad block, I'm getting ads for dating Arab girls. Pretty sure that has nothing to do with my search history.

It's interesting what direction it goes. I also searched the biotech lab where my older DD will be working and the ad links are now for stethoscopes! So strange!

Exactly. Some ad placements are non-discriminatory and are not based on browsing history. In other words, they are targeted at everyone unless specifically blocked.

I have an iPad that has never seen a dating site in it's life but I'm getting those ads as well on it.
