Why Do We Always Go To WDW

We were at the Floridian last February & June. We've stayed there too many times to count. We decided to try somewhere new in 2007. We made a list of places to vacation... Cancun, Puerto Rico, Vegas, Boston, etc.

We're going back to WDW in March.

My question is: Why can we NOT stay away from DisneyWorld??? :confused3

I think we have "WDD"... "Walt Disney Disorder"!!! :scared1:

Do you have the same condition?!?

Have a Grand day!

Yes, I have WDD. While other places are nice--Disney is very "easy" to me. It's easy to book flights, hotel, find a good place to eat, etc. It's just comfy to me and that's important for a vacation. To me, it is stressful to go somewhere and be all out of sorts. Although, I know other people who thrive on that.

Because no other place I have ever been makes me feel the way WDW makes me feel. I don't know how they do it, but they're very good at it.

We broke with tradition and went to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and other sites in Arizona last year, and it was great, but we really missed WDW. DH and I went to WDW without kids last May, and again this coming April, and I just today booked a family trip to WDW in August, because the kids will not have been there in two whole years.

I'd love to go to other places, but ALSO not pass up trips to WDW too. It's so difficult for the 5 of us to get together anymore tho, with oldest DD in college, 2nd DD graduating next year, and DS heading to HS.

I agree wholeheartedly with that statement. I find it very easy to book and I love planning activities, meals etc. But I must admit I do not mind traveling elsewhere.

Every time I plan a trip, doesn't matter where to - we always end up at WDW. First time it was Virginia/DC, this time it was England/Ireland - now its going to be WDW in October

Because even with it's faults, they are better than anybody esle in the game. IMO the place has much more to offer than most other vacation spots, even no-theme park places.

Now if only it wasn't so far away.

My DH used to kind of resist the Disney trips, but now, I think he likes the fact that we know where to eat, etc. If I decide to book a trip to Hawaii, for instance, I'd have no idea where to begin researching restaurants, etc. We've also done so much traveling and living abroad during our marriage, that we don't feel the need to travel internationally on vacation. Our Ds, on the other hand, would love to see Japan! We'll have to get serious about planning that trip soon, but I'm afraid of how much it'll cost! :goodvibes

I keep coming back to WDW because I truely feel it's the best place for me to have a vacation. As a wheelchair user I can't do beaches, camping, old historic buildings, most foreign travel, cruises, the Islands and many other traditional vacation spots but WDW is so mainstreamed I can do almost everything. Also because I tend to stay in the moderates WDW is a great vacation value to me, I've got a 10 night solo trip planned at CSR for under $2000.00 and that includes airfare and the DDP. So for me I can't find anyplace better then WDW.

Plus I love Mickey... :rotfl:

I like Disney but lifes too short not to try some new things. We went to Mexico last summer and the kids said they actually liked it better than Disney. I'd get tired of the same vaction over and over.

To each his own.

well...sometimes we break the tradition by going on a cruise instead... but that's disney too ;)

We took our 1st family trip last Oct, my DD3 cries over missing Mickey - what gives?
This is the reason I see many more trips in our future!

I think that classify's as blasphemy here on the Dis:lmao:

We like it because there is always something to do and entertain you 24/7...plus you can do Beers Around the World in EPCOT:thumbsup2

Bill, I bet you know this already, but Disneys Vero Beach has these special devices for use as a wheelchair on the beah, they have beach friendly wheels and frame and all.

People ask my family this all the time...How can we keep going back to WDW year after year, time after time without getting sick of it? As my dad always says, WDW is like an escape from reality...Until we can find another vacation spot that makes us feel like WDW does, we'll keep going back there yearly.

Well, for us, its a SAFE, easy place to go. Now I admit, there are things that happen to people everywhere everyday. But I feel much safer getting off a bus at Disney than I do in Downtown St. Louis--and I've lived 20 miles from St. Louis my whole life!!!!!

Last year DS got VERY ill at Disney and he and I spent one day at Celebration Hospital and one day in the room. My 61 year old mother, who ALWAYS goes with us, felt comfortable enough to leave the room, get on a bus, and go shopping and to Epcot BY HERSELF!!! At home she barely goes to Walmart by herself!!!! But she feels safe there and it always makes us happy. (I'm not saying she CAN'T go places by herself--she can and does. She's a very active lady.) But to feel THAT comfortable somewhere that you can just hop a bus and go??? Pure Disney pixiedust: to me!!

Will we ever go other places? I'm sure we will. But for now, its a winner for all three of us and who wants to mess that up???

Because pixie dust is more addictive than crack

:rotfl2:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: True...so true. We are all severely strung out. Thank goodness we still look like ordinary citizens considering the all consuming nature of pixie dust addiction.:worship:

The only other place we would go is Las Vegas without the kids. As far as a family vacation, there is no better one to take.
