Oh my word, what are double stuffed Oreos? I have just recently discovered chocolate Oreos (love them ) but we are very limited in what American groceries we can get here in the UK. Our local supermarket has only just started selling Oreos and we can only get original and chocolate. I have had mint ones before but didn't realise there were other types. What am I missing???

Double stuff just means a version in which there is twice as much of the white filling in between the chocolate cookies as the normal version.
I guess some people prefer a lot of the white stuff and some not so much. Personally, I think Oreos are all around icky in all forms (DISCLAIMER: this statement is only a personal opinion and in no way intended to bully those of you who enjoy Oreo cookies).

O...M...G... I cannot buy double stuff Oreos. They are my absolute worse weakness!!!!!!!!!!! Especially if it's that time that a woman needs a little chocolate in her life. LOL I've been known to take two cookies, pull them apart and then stick the two cookies together that have the cream on them. Makes a quadruple Oreo. That my friend, is a complete sugar overload. I don't do it too often but I've been known to do it a time or two. LOL

I don't care for the regular Oreos though. Too much chocolate for me.

As a kid I loved doublestuffs, now I prefer the normal ones.

And is it me or did the mint oreos get 300% better? They used to taste like they were filled with toothpaste, now they're like little pillows of mint chocolate chip ice cream...but portable.....without the dripping.

Oh, my goodness -- there are all kinds of varieties! Mint, peanut butter, strawberry, coffee, half-and-half flavors, others I know I've forgotten...that's just the fillings. Then there are the chocolate-dipped, white-chocolate dipped, holiday varieties, football shaped...it's an Oreos-gone-crazy world. Granted, some of these come and go ("limited time variety"), but they've got quite an assortment.

I've been known to take two cookies, pull them apart and then stick the two cookies together that have the cream on them. Makes a quadruple Oreo.

DH and I don't eat Oreos, but I use them in my truffles and I can only use the regular ones. The double stuffed have too much filling for my recipe.

wow, I am definitely missing something then - I am a massive fan of Oreos, as are all the kids. DH would LOVE peanut butter. I am definitely gonna have to do a thorough search for some 'different' Oreos on our next trip across the pond. Shame we've almost a year to go

Oreos are not a weakness for me, I can have a package in the house and have them go stale. BUT if I do partake, I prefer regular. I find the filling greasy and the less of it the better. I have been known to take a butter knife and scrape the filling to feed it to the dog-Then just eat the chocolatey part.

Imagine if you take two oreos apart and take the two with the creme side and put them together that is a double stuff......it is also what I do when I don't have dounle stuff

The regular (not double stuff) football shaped ones are perfect. They don't break apart after the first bite like the round shaped ones do!
