why do they always wait until picture day???

All 3 of my kids have taken it upon themselves at different times to give themselves a hair cut. We are not talking about toddlers, I am talking about grade school kids who are old enough to know better. Today was spring picture day and my dd who is in the 2nd grade asked me to curl her hair this morning for her picture. Its past her shoulders stick straight so its no easy task to get it to stay. Well as I was rolling I noticed at the very top one section at was about 2inchs long. "Why did you cut your hair??" I don't know. I finally get it out of her that she wanted bangs and knew I had just spent the last year growing out bangs so her hair is all one length. Now she has to wear a headband to hide the spot that she cut...ahhhhhhhhh. I would just make her cut the whole thing off, but we are so close to our 10inches for locks of love that I will just make do until we get to the 10 inches. this will make the 3rd time she has grown her hair for them, but it may be the last for a while until she gets a little older.
