Okay, I think 6 am is early enough. Some stores are opening at 4 am.
What is the purpose of this? Is it to get as many shopping hours in for a day or what? Don't the retailers realize that people, well most people, do not shop all day long? They go at 4 or 5am and shop for a few hours and then go home.

. I've worked in retail for over 30 years, and this was the first time I was actually scared-there were probably 100 people running towards me. The store mgr. went back into her office after she opened the doors

I refuse to get up that early even for good sales! Last year, I found what I needed at 10 am when I went to Kohl's - I've done most of big shopping already so I'm just looking for an outfit for the couple of holiday parties we're going to and stocking stuffers!
Especially a family like mine that puts dinner on the table at 7 pm. It works like a charm every year, or it has since I started doing the parade.
