Just looking at the Universal website since our trip is coming up fast and noticed that the parks close at 6pm & 7pm the Thursday and friday nights we will be there and 8pm and 7pm on the Saturday we will be there.

Never imagined the parks would close that early. I know they close early when schools are back during the winter months.

Anybody know why?

They close according to historical crowd levels. You'll find when you are there, that the park will be pretty much empty by closing time.

when we trying to decide if the FOTL pass would be necessary most people who replied said it would be needed as it was a holiday weekend and it would be pretty crowded.
Oh well I'll have to somehow get up early. Not good at getting up early. :rotfl:

if you want to do the parks without the passes, start when the park opens.
be there a good 15 minutes before park opening and yu will accomplish a lot.

you can always buy the pass once you are in the park if you think it is necessary.

Thanks for the tip but unfortunately it's too late. We are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. I was trying at the time to decide whether to stay there or stay offsite and save money. Money is paid now so no sense crying over spilled milk. :thumbsup2

Not once but twice during 2 separate trips over Labor Day weekend the hours were extended last minute (or announced sometime the day of) at the parks. It also wouldnt be the first time I have seen the written calendar park hours change.

So although I'm not saying the hours will change or hours will be added once your there, I am saying, they could.;)

HRH is worth the extra money. You made a good decision, even if the hours aren't extended. :thumbsup2

Thanks Fan and Tarheel. Makes me feel better. Now I wonder if HRH does dive in movies while we are there.?
