It was in Safeway. The woman who cut in line was not local, but the women at the counter were...so yes, I do think the woman who helped her wanted her to quietly, quickly leave. Which she didn't, she started asking questions and taking a long time. I told the woman that was helping me that I was there first, but she knew that already and had told the cutting woman where the line was.grlpwrd said:This happened to me at the LAX airport while waiting in line for the bathroom.
A gorgeous 20something woman cut right in front of me and my girls and it was obvious there was a long line. I will say something and I did. I said you do know that we're waiting in line, right?, and you just cut in front of us. Problem solved.
It has happened at retail stores like WM, too, and I make sure to speak up.. always. I do it because the rude one's think that they can get away with it, but not with me.![]()
Lyn, may I ask what store it was? I would have taken up the issue with management, but then again I do know that local people are generally more relaxed and live more with the "aloha spirit" so I can see how they handled it like they did.
I didn't complain since I only have an hour for lunch and I had been served, but I wouldn't doubt if the people behind me did complain...Most of them weren't local.
Where I work, there is a lot of rude people, sometimes all the day long. I am a professional woman, but because of my age, gender and ethic background I am confused for being a part of the clerical staff. So, at work I am quick to correct people and put them in their place...not so much for myself since the rude people quickly learn they need my help and begin to kiss up, but for the other women in the office that are non-professional and don't get the respect that they deserve! I never understood why people are rude to someone that is knowledgable and is trying to help them, regardless of their position
