I went to the supermarket today, on my lunch to pick up some things. I decide to get a sandwhich from the deli so I stand behind the two people in line, near the "Line Starts Here" sign. As I am waiting, I see a woman come to the deli and she stands at the other end, where you pick up your food :confused3 She sees me standing in line and doesn't move. She sees the next two men that stand behind me and still doesn't move. So, when it is my turn the person at the store starts to help me with my order. The woman NOT in line makes a scene and says really loudly that she was there before me! WTH? The woman serving me says that the line in on the other side....where by now there are about 5 people behind me. The woman then complains further and says that she is not moving and that she will be served next. So, while the one woman is helping me the other store worker gets done and helps the woman not in line  and it wasn't that she ordered quickly. She starts asking a bunch of questions about all foods, it seemed like she was deliberately taking a long time. I felt so bad for all the people behind me trying to get their lunch

RUDE! There is an entitlement problem going around these days!

I totally hate when that happens! I had one recently where I was in line at the pharmacy and a lady was sitting down in the chairs (as in not in line) who got mad and made a scene when I went to the counter to get my prescription. She was "waiting" in the chair and I was to have read her mind as she sat there perusing the magazines. Ummmm get in line or say something before hand don't make a stink after the fact. The pharmacist agreed with me. :)

its always those people that get their way.
I think that is what also really bothered me, is that they helped her right away. Maybe they wanted to get rid of her, but it wasn't fair to all the people in line.

I think most of us have seen things like this happen. I just don't get some people.

Unfortunately yes. I hate obnoxious people like that. Some people just don't have any courtesy or common sense.

No more standing behind you!!!!! you can be LAST!!!!! :rotfl2: It takes all kinds in this world!!! But in most buisness, they do try to "keep the customer happy"

I had just the opposite happen at the grocery store last week. I went to the deli counter to get my cold cuts and I was like number 98 and they were in the low 80's at the time...so almost 20 numbers between me and who they were waiting on. I picked up some items close ny the deli so I could hear the numbers being called. A lot of numbers got skipped because the people weren't there. Well, just when my number was next a woman comes up and says I have number 8_, can you take me next? We were already on 97....so a few that waited around (myslef included) said very loudly, don't take her, we all stood and waited, not our fault she couldn't be bothered. The girls behind the counter went and got the manager, who came out and said "if it was 1 or 2 numbers we have no problems, but you can't walk away for that amount of time and expect to be waited on, take a new number" and then she walked away. I was floored, I thought for sure they would wait on her. She was trying to say she just walked away and got 1 item...nope she was gone over 20 minutes...that's how long I waited.

I always say that all those signs must have something written in invisible ink that say "except for _insert rude persons name here_" and only the person whose name is there can see it, that is why they don't follow the rules.

That takes GUTS!!!! Glad your manager stood up to her.

So often stores are concerned about making the rude person mad that they serve them and in turn make everyone else mad. Not right for the store to do that and it can bite them in the butt when they lose good customers.

I work in the field customer service and my upper mang. always tries to get us to grease the squeeky wheel. Some customers know that if they call the office it get attention right away while other just go along with the game.
My bosses boss calls me 1 day last week and tells me to go to such & such they are down.
I tell her No I will not I already have a commitment and am sticking to it and such & such is not down and are really not having a problem they just are running a big job over the weekend and don't want to pay for after hour service.

She then tells me to do what I need to do to take care of this.

People are always trying to get over on people these days and people at Disney are no different ( I love the I don't understand english thing )

They do that because they were never taught to respect other people. The employee was wrong for serving her, the manager should have been called.

I had that happen Monday at work. Of course it was the busiest day of the new year, at the Post Office!:) I had a line of people out the door, and one woman walked in, ignored the line and then said Can I just buy one stamp please?
I shook my head, smiled and said I'm sorry, but all of these people are in line for the same thing.;) I wasn't about to let her start a mob!;) And, of course she also ignored the stamp maching in the outer lobby....

And those are the same people who happily take their 30 items to the 10 items or less checkout.

:rotfl: I believe it is :rotfl:

AND...these are the same people who ignore road construction signs to move over from one lane until the very last minute then back up traffic just to get ahead. Isnt it obvious we are all going in the same direction and we will all get there and being a car or two or twenty ahead of where you were doesnt really make a difference?

There is this really busy deli by my work that has one of those number dispensers and a big sign that says, "Take a number and study the menu, quietly. When we call your number, be ready to order. If you miss your number being called, go get another. If you make a fuss, whatever time you waited will be forfeited. We politely reserve the right to refuse service. NEXT!" It always reminds me of Seinfeld's "No Soup For You!" :rotfl:
