this is starting to bring back more memories.
Once, I was sitting down to lunch with a co-worker and she gets her sandwich out, starts eating it, gets a puzzled look on her face, takes off the top piece of bread and says "someone stole the cheese off my sandwich!" Someone had actually gone into her brown bag, taken her sandwich out of it's plastic bag, and took just the slice of cheese.

She was so grossed out, she threw the rest of the sandwich away.
I also used to get frozen dinners stolen all the time, so started writing my name across the front of them with a big sharpie. When one disappeared
again, I was so frustrated, I left a note taped to the fridge that said "whoever stole my frozen dinner owes me $5.00 for the sandwich I had to buy".

This guy in my department sheepishly comes into my office, gives me the 5 bucks and apologizes, saying he often brings in the same brand/flavor of frozen dinner, so he thought it was his. I felt a little bad after that, but still... HELLO?? Did you not see my name written across the top of the box??
Then, this isn't really stealing, but there was one guy who would hog candy from people's candy dishes. If someone had a jar of M&M's on their desk, meant to be shared, most people would come by and grab a small handful once a day or so. Not this guy. He'd come in, pour out a huge handful, eat them as he talked to you, then get another handful, and another, and another. One visit from him and a full jar would be half-empty in 5 minutes. What was he thinking, we were supplying candy just for him?
