Why do people kiss?

I seriously have no idea why any of you cared about my opinion sooo much that you had to say I was wrong in a way that seemed pretty rude, and then when I'm pissed off you tell me to calm down when it's not even necessary to get into what was going on if you weren't already involved.

And I know you were just saying something, but by quoting my post it makes it seem like you're talking about what I said and it seems like you say I'm wrong and you're right in a really rude way.
And since it's my opinion on something you can't really say my opinion is wrong.
It's what I think.. not you.
woah, you're just proving my point. if this thread makes you that peeved, take a step back and let it go. :confused3

You have to know by now that the people here are very opinionated and will say whatever is on their mind.

Whatever people post, they have to be confident and ready to back it up (in a calm manner) because somebody will always disagree and try to start an argument.

That's why I don't even bother really saying anything that I'm not sure about or believe in 100%.

hehe XD
It feels goood! This may sound bad, but I hate dating someone who kisses
horrible. I mean I know 'kissing' isn't what the relationship is all about but it
is a big part of the attraction towards each other.

and one question.. why do we always tilt our heads to the right? I know I do.. does everyone else?

yeah.

I love the intimacy of it.
I don't know about other people, but for me personally I have to really trust and like someone to let them come that close to me.

And I believe the practice came to be from evolution.
Like the article stated, I've also heard that kissing helps us to weed out mates who we don't have "chemistry" with, or whose immunities are too similiar to our own and thus won't produce a child with the best chance of survival.

I have a question, in the US, when u greet ure friends or an acquantaince, do u greet by kissing on the cheeks? I mean this girl-girl, and girl-boy, not boy-boy obviously.

i was wondering cuz here its the norm. if u dont kiss somebody on the cheeks when u say hello to them, u are considered rude and arrogant.

I don't kiss people on the cheeks, but I know other countries do this. I haven't seen it a lot where I live and I don't think it's a normal part of American culture. When I see people doing this, I know they are probably not from this country.

Aroo? I see a lot of people kiss on the cheek. Though it's mostly like family and what not. But I did run up to the guy I had a crush on and kissed him on the cheek in the middle of our rehearsal. :goodvibes It amused me.

Anywho the only time I really hate kissing is after someone ate. Especially if it's a food that I don't like. :scared: Buh I feel so gross and have to push the guy away. No fun I say.

I've seen pictures of an actress from this country greeting her friend with a kiss on the cheek, but that is really the only instance I can think of.

It isn't really weird, just not the norm.

Yeah, my family does it too, here & over in Mexico.
It's always a kiss on the cheek, like a greeting between people instead of a handshake.
but, my family only does it & so do other hispanic families here, that's the only reason why.
Whenever I go to Mexico, I remember once I got to kiss this cute guy hello&goodbye at this summer camp I went to, haha, the perks of being Hispanic...

i guess.
but if i saw one of my friends & they kissed my cheek, i would think it was wierd. or if i saw other people doing that.

I kiss my family members on the cheek and hug them.
With friends, I either just hug them or wave.

Why does that matter to you?

It doesn't matter if you think it is weird, it's not weird, it just isn't a part of our culture. You need to understand that there are other cultures in the world and just because they are different doesn't make them weird.

Yeah, family kiss & hug and such.

Friends sometimes hug, if i havent seen them in a while. im not really a "OMG I HAVENT SEEN YOU SINCE 2ND PERIOD HUG ME!" person.
