Why does that matter to you?

It doesn't matter if you think it is weird, it's not weird, it just isn't a part of our culture. You need to understand that their are other cultures in the world and just because they are different doesn't make them weird.

Friends sometimes hug, if i havent seen them in a while. im not really a "OMG I HAVENT SEEN YOU SINCE 2ND PERIOD HUG ME!" person.

And my friends and I hug every time we see each other. I'm talking like big huge tackle hugs. I save the big bear hugs for when I haven't seen them in ages.

I know the definition of weird, you don't have to point it out. I'm 20, not 5.

It's not strikingly ODD, it's just not the normal part of THIS culture. It's not strange.

Just because it doesn't happen in THIS country doesn't make it WEIRD.

I'm from Massachusetts. I will admit that, something like that is really out of the ordinary for here though. I'm just not afraid to speak (or in this case kiss XD ) my mind.

sorry, it's like, i've never thought much of the way we kiss people as a greeting in my culture, even though i live in the u.s
but, i guess it's understandable that other people find it strange.

Because American's are generally private and conservative. Like, if someone gets too close to me, I usually take a step back. I don't like people standing right UP next to me. I have my space. I need my space.

It's just our society, and that particular greeting is just not a norm here.
