Why do people judge people if their tall or short?

Yeah, I've never really encountered anyone getting seriously teased for their height.
Like, maybe little jokes here and there, but just friendly teasing.

Alot of it is harmless teasing betweeen me and my friends.

the only teasing ive seen over someones height has been joking, and between friends. most people think its pretty cool to be extremely tall, and the most popular kids in my school are short. i dont think anyone around me really cares, though

My friend is legally a midget. We jokingly make fun of her for it, but she jokes about it, too. It's just unspoken that when my group of friends says something like that we're joking. It's our way of saying "hey, you're cool enough I wanna waste time and say something off-the-wall about you".

And then we kinda make fun of J.Sens because he's super tall and bulldozed me last year (and knocked 2 of my ribs out of place) so we act like we still haven't forgiven him when we really have. He knows it, too.

I’ve never seen anyone get made fun of because they’re tall. But my friend, she’s kind of short, well probably just normal but I just call her short because we are all like pretty tall. I tease her and call her short but that’s it. Just for fun. And when I do that to her she makes me give her a piggy back to her bus, because she says “Since my legs are so small I don’t think I can walk that far.” T_T

I have a friend who last year got teased by like all the 8th graders about her height i never really got it she may be short and the shortest girl at the whole school but it doesnt mean shes any different

I think it's all in poking fun.
I'm a pretty tall kid and I don't get made fun of.
I do know that shorter kids get made fun of though but it's by people that they're close with.

I see that at school sometimes. We got measured for our caps and gowns for graduation and me and one other kid just barely reached the paper. I'm not even 5 feet tall! The thing that really annoys me is that almost all of my family is like real tall and my brother is like 6 1/2 feet tall and i have to look straight up to see his face. My friends make fun of me all the time for it, but I don't care. The kids who's lockers are next to mine have to help me get my books because they're tall. I know they are just joking, and I'm not hurt by it. It's what God wanted me to have, so I just take it. They don't mean anything be it anyway because mostly short people who make fun of me.
