meh, there are kids that aren't on the honor roll that work just as hard.

I was one of those students in elementary school and middle school who did not have to work very hard to get As. I just LOVED school and I just kind of absorbed the material very easily. I was on the honor roll, in advanced classes, honors, etc.
My brother on the other hand, had a much harder time at school. He worked 10x harder than I ever did and still struggled to get anything better than Bs (he got the occasional A but never an A on a report card). So he never made honor roll, never took honors classes, etc. But he worked his butt off to do the best he could and I respect him so much for that. It turns out, he had a Learning Disability that was not diagnosed until High School (our school systems fault).
Why should I get a bumper sticker for something that comes easy for me when my brother (and so many others I know) worked so much harder but just couldnt get those grades that are necessary to be "acknowledged".
I really see those bumper stickers as bragging.
However...I do like the bumper stickers that say "my (insert dog breed) is smarter than your honor student". Those make me laugh every time.
