Why do most people pay inflated prices?

Was it easy to get from central Paris to Disney? Did you get a Visite Pass for transportation?

Yes - easy. We stayed at a hotel not too far away from the RER stop "Nation" (we did have to take the metro to get there, but even that added only little time to the whole journey) and it is a 35-minute trip from there.

I used a Carte Orange weekly ticket for myself (valid from Monday to Sunday, you need a passport-size picture) and a 5-day Paris Visite pass for my son (since there are no reduced Carte Orange tickets for children). Both together cost about 55 Euro.

Hi Sebhoff and Cubitus, I tried to get these tickets today from the french DLP website, it would not let me pick 1 day/2 parks for Nov 10. Does it mean that date is not available or I goofed? Right now the offer is just available until Nov 9, sorry!

Have no idea if there will be an extension of these tickets... If so it might be announced on the website shortly!

We had a terrible trip back in March this year, the weather was poor for a few day and when we finally got the sunshine it was a Saturday and the French were on their hols, gueues were terrible!

Good news is that I'm hoping to book another trip for Feb or March 2008 to make it up to my girls. I shopped around for the best quote last time but still feel I paid over the top, can you give me any big tips in planning our next visit please? I'm willing to go anytime in Feb or March (cheapest option) but by air.


The best price I got from the travel agents last week was for St David Welsh Festival (Feb 29th - March 2nd) £649 for 2 adults & 2 children for 3 nights but only 2 days at Parks this price included flights, hotel and park passes. I feel we need 4 or 5 days to make the most of our next visit.

Have you had a look at doing it all separately, rather than as a package from the travel agent?

For example, look on your local airports website to get the flight companies that go direct from your airport to Paris, and check out the prices on flights for the times you want to go.

Then look at the Disney official website for accommodation and park ticket prices (their hotel tariffs include park tickets in the price). I believe Leisure Direction and Iglu also do similar packages on hotels and tickets for DLP.

Or you could separate it even more, and get room only prices from the likes of the Holiday Inn website, or Expedia (they do DLP hotels) and then check out attractiontix etc for park/hopper ticket prices. Or, along with your room only price, you could look into buying Annual Passes instead of hopper tickets. If you are intending buying park tickets for 3 days or more in a year, an Annual Pass will probably work out better value, and can (dependant on what type of pass you buy) give you discounts on room-only prices at Disney hotels.

I'm just bumping up this thread, as unfortunately I'm too late to use it for my Dniece's entrance tickets, but someone else may be able to use the very helpful information on here - 1-day hopper tickets for 29 euros per day during the week - a significant saving on any other site I've been looking at (365tickets, attractiontix, Disney site etc).
