Why do I get myself into these dilemmas??? WWYD??

Stay at the Poly for a day or 2 after a 1 leg cruise. You'll have the best of both worlds and get to stay at your dream resort :)

Why do you get into these dilemmas?

Because they are the BEST! First the joy of picking a vacation, followed by the fun of planning a vacation. (Oh, yeah, and the pleasure of the actual vacation!)

Last year when my mother suggested that my family and my sister's family join her on a vacation, we had each of my two son's and my sister's two daughters pick a suggested location and do some research on it, and prepare a PowerPoint presentation of their choice, complete with options, costs, advantages, disadvantages, etc.

Then, when we were all together at Christmas time, they each presented their slideshow to us and made their "pitch." Los Angeles, Orlando/WDW, and Yellowstone/Badlands/Mt Rushmore, were the other three pitches. For our family, we chose the Fantasy over WDW and the others, so that is what we would do, but no matter what you choose, deciding will be great fun.

We loved our trip, but we'd still love to do any of the others. But by exploring all of the options, in a small way, we got to enjoy a bit of each of them.

Thanks for sharing your dilemma! This is the kind of "problem" that gets better when shared!

Tell us what you end up picking!

7-night Western on the Fantasy with 1 night before at the Beach Club! :)

Perfect! That is the same week/itinerary we picked (but ours was 2016). We found that that week was thousands less than the week before it, or any other earlier week that summer. A week later would have been even cheaper, but something about the kids and high school blocked that plan.

And a night at the Beach Club sounds like a great way to relax and get into "cruise" mood!

We did a 3/4 day B2B on the Dream. Cheaper than 7 on the Fantasy and we were treated like Royalty the second time around because everyone knew us! The turn around day didn't seem wasted to us, still got to do plenty of stuff AND we did not have to wait around for our room to be ready! We sat in Cove Cafe or the adult areas and relaxed while everyone scurried about. But if you really want to stay at the Poly, give it a whirl. Both are very different vacations.
