Why do I always do this?

I've lost 16lbs and people are starting to notice, my clothes are fitting better, I'm feeling fitter, so why am I starting to cheat on my eating plan?

It's nothing major yet, just white bread sandwiches, but I'm scared I'm going to fail big time, as I always do....only this time I'm with WISH so I thought I'd post here and "confess" and see if this helps me to re-focus.

Thanks for reading,

Libby

I don't know why any of us does that, Libby. I've done it myself, pre-WISH.

Okay, you know that if you continue with this behavior you are going to gain your weight back again. Can you have an alternative treat for a snack? Make a decision to eat the legal treat before you eat a sandwich?

Don't tell yourself you can't have the sandwich just eat something else first. Then wait the 20 minutes to allow your brain to register the snack you ate. If you still want the sandwich after 20 minutes then eat 1/2 of the sandwich.

How about making your sandwich with only one piece of bread, cut in half? It would still be your sandwich just fewer calories etc.

I'm sure the WISHers who still eat bread have better advice for you. I'm not sure what is triggering your desire for this extra food but your subconscious is telling you that it's "okay" because you have lost so much weight, I think.

Lord, don't I just go on and on and on? I'll shut up now.
