Why didn't Mickey and Minnie ever marry?

According to the National Enquirer, Mickey has been seen keeping company with not only Daisy Duck but a number of females of different species. There is a report that several of these females even starred in films from Universal Studios that were less than appropriate. There are text messages between Mickey and these homewreakers that will come to light in next weeks edition... They were difficult to decipher because of Mickey's lack of typing skills. The real question, at this point, is whether Mickey really does have opposable thumbs or is he faking it. Only the Enquirer knows for sure

Mickey Woods.

:confused3:confused3:confused3 But Mickey and Minnie have the same last name, they HAVE to be married :confused3:confused3:confused3

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

You're right. They might just share the last name with no documents or pre nub

I like that now that the Toontown area is closing, it's rumored that Mickey and Minnie will move into an aparment above a shop on Main Street (or at least into the barn thing down there)!

I could just be making this up too.

But this seems like a natural next step in their relationship. They've finished the wooing, and have been steadily dating for some time, and in these tough financial times, it only makes sense to finally move in together!

Exactly! The economy is tough right now to be wasting money paying taxes and bills for 2 houses.

 Can you provide a link, please?

Anyway, I just won't believe this until TMZ also posts the same report. ;)

I could tell you where I got the information but then I'd have to hit you with a golf club.:rotfl:

Taxes?

have you SEEN where he lives?

Mickey's got some cash...heck he has his OWN money!!!!:)

If the move to an aparment building, where would the put pluto's house?

If I, as a gay man, cannot marry, how can two mice marry?

This is why they were never married...federal law never recognized their union.

Besides, I heard Minnie was seen with Tiger.

:rotfl2:

Mickey and Minnie aren't ready to commit.

Actually, in the Land of Rodents, "Mouse" is a common last name, just as "Wang" is so common in China, "Verma" in India, and "Smith" in the USA.

Donald Duck tried early in his career to go by one name, like Cher. However, just referring to himself as "The Duck" (with a marked emphasis on 'the') did not catch on with the public. By the time he thought of trying to refer to himself as "The Donald" it was too late, since a wife of Donald Trump had already appropriated that name for her husband. Foolishly, Donald Duck sued the Trumps over trademark infringement, but Donald was literally 'plucked' raw by The Donald and his henchmen (at that time, some rather scary crows with cigars in their mouths).

I noticed something on one of our trips...Minnie's house doesn't have a bedroom, and Mickey's bedroom has a double bed.

I'm just sayin'. :rolleyes1

You know, it is probably something like how Rob and Laura Petre couldn't share the same bed on TV and how Lucy and Ricky couldn't use the word "pregnant" on tv--they didn't want people to think they were doing "it", ya know..."it"

I want to know who the parents of Huey, Duey and Luey are? Why do they live with Donald?

Donald's sister, actual name Dumbella, sent them on a visit which got extended. You can see the letter in the movie when they first appeared. Also, in the short, Spirit of 1941 (Available in the Disney At War DVD set), where Donald is showing how easy it is to fill out an IRS Form 1040 not only does he list them as dependents but marks that they are adopted.

The plot thickens.

You are so right! :thumbsup2 Equal rights :cheer2:

Oh no Minnie fell for the Tiger too? Minnie, shame on you. Does he play golf too? :scared:

I was good friends with Mickey and Minnie. I was told during training that Walt wanted them to be perpetual sweethearts. I was told by another mouse friend when I worked down there that at one point they wrote and rehearsed a stage show in which Mickey and Minnie do indeed get married. Supposedly there were costumes and everything, but it was never followed through. (I do have questions about the source though. She claimed she was part of those rehearsals.) I had never heard of them being married off screen. Interesting.

Little interesting tidbit: Pluto was actually a gift to Mickey from Minnie (and had been Minnie's dog) which is why he will sometimes greet at her house in ToonTown.

I have a similar question and I'm sure there's an answer somewhere....

how does Goofy have a son? where did Max come from?

If you look, Max does look like the other citizens of Goofville. So that quashes the stupid rumors that go around. The line we are told in entertainment if we are ever asked this question: "We don't speak of it out of respect for Goofy." The implication is that Goofy is a widower. Supposedly the wife has been in one or two cartoons as an outline. You never really see her (or so I'm told.)

ETA: From wikipedia:

Goofy's wife has appeared - but always with her face unseen - in some earlier short cartoons depicting the character as a "family man", but his modern appearances portray Goofy as a single father.

 Now now everyone...I know for a fact that Mickey and Minnie ARE married. Why? Because several years ago I got a glass globe of them on their wedding day. It plays "Here comes the bride." Very beautiful!
