Why didn't anyone tell me how expensive UGG boots are???

the kids and I were in a local shoe store, and I casually mentioned to my dd " would you like a pair of these?" ( not realizing how expensive they are they were $169 in this store).......of course she says " yes!" ( then I looked at the tag!! LOL)
seems like all her gymnastics teammates have them.
her feet are NOT done growing, and she would probably outgrow them by next winter!
LOL, so I go onto Old Navy online last night and they have knockoffs for $12...............she liked those too ( whew!)

so if you got "UGG" style boots for your kid where did you get them ( old navy online was out of her size).
I am thinking I will check out Target and Old Navy in person too.

oh--i didn't mean to accuse you...I just didn't know what is meant by "inspired style" . I'm a little out of loop on the uggs--but have known other posters to mention Justice. If you need a code, let me know--I may still have the coupon in my inbox, unused.

I think 6pm is zappos clearance area.
Inventory changes daily as can prices. . I noticed they are very low in little girls inventory right now.

Wanting a new pair of Ugg slippers, LOVE mine !! Santa brought them last year, still in amazing condition, but I wear them every day in cooler months. Another color would be fun lol.

Thinking of getting DS8 and MIL both a pair of slippers for xmas. Kids slipper size run and about 60 so I would only buy if I can find a good deal on 6pm.

A couple of years ago my MIL got all the grandkids UGG inspired boots at Pay Less. I got my DD some from Old Navy this year.

For the real thing keep an eye on 6pm.com. They will have some really good deals on UGGs from time to time. This time of year it may be more of a challenge since there is demand for them, but you never know.

my dd has ugg inspired boots from DWS, but the zippers come down whenever she walks, so they aren't any good. of course, I don't have the the receipt, and we 'sprayed' them so they're a little weather resistant.

very disappointed!

I bought my 1st pair of Uggs this summer from 6pm.com ~ kids size and $58!! I feel the same way as you - why buy such an expensive boot that will be outgrown in 6 months??? DD's Bear Paws *Ugg like and pretty nice* from last year still fit her but I'm not sure for how much longer.

My daughter has real UGGs and they are worth every penny. Of course she attended a private all girls school and knock offs would not have been kosher.

Not to be rude but have you been living under a rock for the past couple of years? Not only UGGS but I have three girls and a wife. When it comes to shoes I have to take out a second Mortgage, and a third when ever there is a wedding for hair and nails. LOL but wouldn't change it for anything. Good Luck.

My feet stopped growing 25 years ago, so I don't need to worry about it, but I have a pair of Uggs older than my kids that I still wear. For $150 you get - or at least I got - a very well made boot. (I didn't buy them, my mother gave them to me).

There a few things I think of as a bargain but some of them would be my shoes (boots), my swim suits, my cars, furniture and a few kitchen things, Buy the best and then use them forever. DH never believed in it until we started buying better quality and now he is spoiled. He won't buy anything without a good quality brand name, Not to say we don't check out the outlet malls.

My partner has a pair of Uggs that are at least 8 years old that are still in great condition. That said, for a kid who is still growing I'd go with knock offs. Even if they fall apart after a season of wearing, she won't fit in them next season anyway.
