Why did you leave your last job?

I moved too. My fiance and I were living in Cincinnati for a year and a half (he's in the Army). We broke up last November and I gave my two weeks (living with someone after you break up is SO much fun!) and then I moved back to Virginia. I am a thousand times happier now than I ever was in Cincinnati. No more apartment living! No more customer service job! No more split personality fiance! No more cat that pees on my clothes! Hooray! I'm just a little happy.

I left my old job b/c of a long commute, bad hours, bad pay, bad people and decided to go to grad school so I could get into a new profession!

I left my last job because I was recruited by my "new" boss. I had worked with her a few years back, she left to the new organization and for about a whole year she kept asking me to come work for her, to join the company she was working for and so forth. Finally, after a year, she made me an offer that was much better than I was getting so I gave my notice and left. It was a great move. Im much more happier, more respected, the organizations beliefs are in line with my own, and oh yeah.....they pay me more. But without being recruited by that director, I probably would not have made the move.

Hours too long and late, lousy pay, and boredom. There wasn't enough to stay busy. And for some reason, the three things that there was to be done were ALL due on the 10th of the month. :confused3 GONE!! Transferred within the company. Just hit my one-year anniversary yesterday!!

I was recruited by the hospital where I currently work, from the university where I was teaching. They tempted me with a lot more $, much closer to where i live, and the chance to end my career at "the top".

:furious: I quit my last job as a web designer because a) I was getting a very low salary for being the sole designer and programer b) My company bounced 3 of my payroll checks (what kind of company does this?!?!) and c) They included a very very low Christmas bonus on my check and then took it back later, telling me that it was a mistake and they don't give bonuses!!!

Needless to say I was very tempted to stick nails in my boses tires, but I refrained LOL :badpc:

After telling me during the job interview that my work hours would be flexible, Monday through Friday, "make your own schedule," on the 3rd day of work my boss informed me I was responsible for 7-day-a-week coverage. By that time, I'd already heard from a couple of people that the nurse before me left because they had her working 7 days a week for the last 4 months.

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?? :rotfl:

Yes, I worked there for a grand total of 3 days!

DH got transferred 600 miles away, and I was about to go out on maternity leave- so I left and didn't go back (without paid leave- didn't feel right about taking leave pay if I had no intention of going back). 7 1/2 years later, I still haven't gone back to the "work for pay" world- maybe in the next year or so, I'll go back part-time.

Just left my current job at the end of December.

I left beacuse of many problems including very low pay (people who were hired after me with less experience got paid more than me), before I was hired I told them I wuld be going on my honeymoon in 4 months manager said fine it would be no problem....but when it came close to my wedding I had to work 6 days a week 11 hours a day only to get a maybe!! Oh yeah I also had to do my manager's job when he left for a different position with no raise in salary!!!!

Sooooooooooo happy I left.....The look on their faces was priceless when I gave notice :lmao:

Long story short, to stay at home with my kids.

But I wasn't happy with work situation and that helped prod me along to make the decision. Which is unfortunate, because for 6 1/2 of the 7 years I was there, I was EXTREMELY happy with my job. :guilty:

Working QA in an orange juice factory on second shift an hour away from home just wasn't something I wanted to be doing.
