We outgrew our offsite timeshare. My brother and his wife bought at Westgate Lakes, and our whole family used their condo several times. But as my four siblings married and the grandchildren came along we were going to be crammed for space. As the only single one in the clan, I knew I'd soon be sleeping on the sofa and sharing a bathroom with the kiddies. So a few hours before I was to catch a flight back to Philly, I did the DVC tour at the Boardwalk and flew home reading the details. Due to the timing, I had my choice of locations and a few days later called my guide to purchase at SSR, which was perfect for me- preconstruction incentives; on-property, but easily accessible to offsite; a spa; beautiful grounds. Learning of my father's love for the Boardwalk, I also bought two BWV contracts from the Timeshare Store.
After my parents' first visit to SSR, they fell in love with DVC and only want to stay onsite with me (and it also gets them out of full-time babysitting while on vacation). I've since added on at VWL and BCV, and am contemplating the Villas at the Animal Kingdom Lodge as well. I am so grateful that I stumbled on to DVC. It's really changed my outlook on vacationing.
