Why Did They Take My Dues Out Yesterday?

Last month I changed the way I pay dues from yearly to monthly.
I paid for January and February at that time and faxed a letter telling them to deduct dues from my account on the 15th of the month. MS told me I had a choice of the 1st or 15th.
Yesterday they deducted feed from my account.
Would this be for March dues if I asked them to deduct them on the 1st of the month since the first is a Sunday?
If so, they really should not have deducted yet because of my request for the middle of the month.
Of course I need to talk to accounting and they are not in on weekends.

Sorry that happened. Sounds like an error to me.

As you posted, you'll have to call Member Accounting on Monday to get it straightened out.

Log in to the member site and see if it states anything about the transaction in your "My Account" section under the Annual Dues. I pay monthly too and another thing that shows up on the member site right before dues are to be paid out is a statement saying I cannot make a payment on my account at this time because there is already a transaction in process.

My dues are set up for the first, and they have not drawn out of my checking account yet this month, just so you know. BUT, this year, my bank changed the way they do transactions and now when we do any debits on the weekend or have debits for withdrawals that are scheduled on a Sunday, the bank now shows the withdrawal as 3/2/09 but in reality, when I check my account tomorrow, it will be 3/1/09 - the dues will have come out and it will show them pulled on 3/2/09. I was sort of surprised the bank does this now, but I suppose they figure that if the transaction was supposed to take place on Monday the money will be there on Sunday anyway.

I checked my bank statement on line and mine were taken yesterday also instead of Monday they show as pending, but will be debited on 2/27). In Feb, they were debited on 2/2.

OH, NO, it must mean DVC needs money to make the 3/1 payroll!!!

You are without question wrong about that. Not only do our dues come out on the 15th, when we had a loan our loan payment was on the 15th as well.

We have our dues drawn on the 15th. It's funny I don't remember choosing but they have always been drawn that day.

My dues come out on the 1st too - however for March they hit my account early too. Weird. The 1st should be the 1st. I have NEVER seen any other company take liberties to take money early. What are they thinking! They are one crazy company.

My dues are showing as pending still, but I suspect they will be pulled out tomorrow since it is the 1st. The date the pending transaction is set to expire is 3-2-09 so they did not pull all dues out early. I'd be interested in a follow up if anyone calls MS on Monday.

I think they've changed to taking them out whenever they want.

It used to be that our dues came out on the 15th, unless the 15th fell on a weekend, and then they came out the Monday following the 15th.

That changed with the new year. In January ours were taken out on the 16th, in February on the 17th.

Me too, ours come out on the 1st nothing yet with the exception of the payment pending we cannot process a payment...
