Why did PSD rates go up since Oct 12?

I made our reservations for 5 adults and one 2yo (2 rooms at POR, 7 day park hoppers) on Oct 12 our trip Jan 2-10. I found out today that we might have to change our dates to Jan 3 - 11 so I checked online and found it was going to cost 217.65 more. So I checked our current dates and it's still 217.65 more. My reservation is for the lower price. Will they bill me for the extra or will they honor what I have a reservation for? If I change our dates by one day, will I have to pay the higher price?

There was a glitch in the system that was fixed today according to some other threads. They are honoring the lower price for current reservations. That said if you move your dates you are chancing that the higher price will show up since the CM will be checking for current openings at current prices. You might luck out with a great CM that will honor the lower price but I'd go into it expecting to pay more.

I was considering upgrading to more days on my tickets. I wonder if that would change my ressie to the new price?

Don't know, but I wouldn't bother with that until you get to the parks - the upgrade price would be the same (provided you use the tickets once before upgrading).

Ugh. I've been waiting to book and now I'm soooo annoyed that I didn't.

Not all the packages went up in price. Ours didn't.

But if you booked the same package today, would it still be the same price?

What's odd is that I had priced ALK the same time I did POR. So I priced ALK yesterday to see if it went up too and it did for the exact same amount. No matter where I looked it went up $6.22 per day per person. I think the difference is in the ticket prices.

Yes, I double checked and ours stayed the same. But I only got 1 day base tickets so I agree that that must be where the difference is.

We reserved on 10/11 for S/P/D at POR for 3 people 1/26/13 - 1/30/13 for $1767.21.

Today's price on the website is $1857.45, an increase of $90.24.

I called today to upgrade from the QSDP to the standard DP, and it would be an extra $70 over what I expected. Checked online, and there is no availability at POP, but the price at the All Stars is what I would have expected. *shrugs* No idea. So apparently the price went up at some resorts, but not others?

Hope the lost revenue from this mistake don't make them rethink other discounts :(

WOW, Just figured mine out and it is $276 more! I'm also glad I got in under Disney's mistake! :cool1::yay:
