why did it say your party may be seated seperately?

It always says that. It said that when I made an ADR for 1!

The tables are PT aren't easy to move like they are in many other restaurants; they're mostly attached to the wall, I believe. Disney just wants to warn you that you may be separated if you're a large party.

when we booked at Prime Time?

I don't know any way to say this without sounding snarky, but it's because your party might be seated separately. It may be that they don't have enough dedicated tables for the party your size, and they may not have the ability to push two tables together b/c the tables the come available may not be close together.

It's just an FYI. You'll probably get a table for your party, but just be advised that you might not.

There are quite a few restaurants that have the party possbily being seated separately disclaimer. It usually comes down to fewer large tables and greater inflexibility with pushing tables together due to fire code. We have never been seated separately at any of these places, but I know others who have- so, just be prepared for it.

I've found this is usually the case in restaurants where, for instance, there's a big bench along one wall and then small tables with one chair across from each space on the bench, each table is for one person on the bench, one person in the chair, so your party of 4 or 5 might be seated TOGETHER, but there's more than one actual table involved.

Because the people who designed the Reservation system are a bunch of idiots!

I have sometimes made a reservation for myself and received a notice that I might be split into multiple tables. That would not only be upsetting to me, but the blood and gore all over the place would probably upset the other people dining.

There's been a lot of instances of people booking for a party of one and getting that disclaimer. If you aren't a large party it's not anything to worry about.

Maybe they're planning to split all of us solo diners up, and then mashing together some sort of Dr. Frankenstien (that's Fronkensteen) Disney-crazed Monster or something?

Failing that, I know that I'm going DxDDP, but I don't expect to eat THAT much to make me take up more than one table :p

Now, I wouldn't single those that designed the reservation system as idiots... there are lots of other idiotic design decisions made on that website :p.

And to be on topic, yup, nothing to worry about at all. Unless you're a large party, they'll sit you at one table (or a couple pushed together, depending on the restaurant and party size), even if you request that the little kids (if applicable) sit at a different one all the way across the restaurant

We have only had it happen to us once, and that is because part of my party didn't show up on time :scared1: for an ADR at Le Cellier. The hostess at Le Cellier was so nice and I thanked her over and over again for being so accommodating when she didn't even have to do that. We were traveling with a group of 18 and were seated together at every other meal on that vacation. Usually, we travel with 8 and have *never* ever had a problem getting seated together.

Is it a possibility that you'll be split up? Well, yes. Is it likely? Based on my experience, I'd say no....unless some boneheads in your group don't show up on time! :lmao:

I wouldn't worry about it for a party of 4 or under. But if you are a party of 8, it could happen. It's just a disclaimer that goes to everyone so that in case it happens to someone they have proof of the warning that it could happen.

On our trip last November, we (party of 8) were seated at seperate tables at Le Cellier. Now I know that the ADR has that disclaimer, but it irritated me b/c it seemed like they didn't even try to work with us. In fact, they didn't even tell us that we were being split, they just showed us to the two tables. They could have angled the tables so that they were connected, but didn't. Mind you this was after we had already waited around an hour after our ADR time, so my patience was already wearing thin. Eventually they moved our tables together once some other people left and they could switch a few things around a little easier. The bottom line is it does happen.

P.S. In case it's not clear, my gripe wasn't that we were split up, it was that they didn't seem to care.

I've also had that message when I booked at Prime Time. We were a party of 8 and we were seated together. I just made our ADR's for our Oct. trip and 3 out of 6 restaurants said we maybe seated at different tables. Rose and Crown, 1900 Park Fare and Whispering Canyon. Anyone have any issues with these restaurants?
