Why did DCA close Superstar Limo?

When my mom and I were in DCA we got to ride Superstar Limo once and it was so cool but the last times my family went we noticed that Superstar Limo had closed forever and I would like to know why DCA closed Superstar Limo? I heard stories that it closed due to people getting injured and I also heard that Superstar Limo was gonna be replaced with another ride. Superstar Limo was so awesome because it had audio-animatronic celebrities like Regis Philbin and many other stars and the ride was so great we rode it twice

Because it wasn't popular.

It was replaced by Mike and Sulleys ride.

Yes, Monsters Inc is there now. The ride didn’t really have animatronics, mostly cardboard cutouts that moved their heads and arms iirc. It was roundly disliked by most park guests, including me. Seemed like a hastily put together ride on a budget as several DCA v1.0 were. The other issue was that been chased around by paparazzi was the original concept for the ride. After the death of Princess Diana, this was seen as somewhat tasteless so the ride was hurriedly redesigned by imagineering. This added to the sense of the ride been hastily put together on a budget, because it was.
Glad you enjoyed it though, you can always look back and say you did something many never did. Must admit, I did like the Who wants to be a Millionaire attraction though, many didn’t.

Monsters, Inc. is, by almost any measure, a superior dark ride. But the one and only thing I'll forever miss about Superstar Limo was the animatronic of Cindy Crawford looking like a hooker in her latex miniskirt and high-heeled boots.

I also love WWTBAM, but that's partially because I have good reflexes and am good at trivia. I've got a lot of pins and shirts from it (on both coasts)!

Lol they closed the ride because it was awwwwwful.

And paparazzi killed Princess Diana, so that necessitated weird changes from the original storyline…which resulted in the ride poop that was Superstar Limo.

Eisner did great things…this was not one of them. The old DL parking lot was more entertaining.
