Just a vent, ignore if you wish.

OK, the calories went up from 60 to 80, and carbs up from 11 to 16. Still a lot better than most other yogurt brands, so that would be acceptable IF they made it taste better. But the new recipe is just blah! Cherry Vanilla used to be chock full of big yummy cherry chunks, and now it's like they took half a cherry, squashed it into 4 tiny little pieces to throw in each cup. :sad2:

I am so sad. Why change a good thing? :sad2:

I hope they get the backlash that Coke did and bring back the original recipe as "Light and Fit Classic". :upsidedow ;)

I don't like it either. It doesn't taste good. I'm hoping we can get the old version back.

OK I know what Dannon is, but for just a second I thought "Dannon changed her light"?...and used yogurt to do it?:upsidedow

Maybe they changed the serving size, from 1.3 servings per container to 1 serving per container?

nope serving size is the same at 1 container. LOL I've got one in front of me right now as I have breakfast.

I mean maybe that previously the serving size was 1.3 serving per container. If the serving size now is 1 serving per container, that would account for the change in calories. Many products used to apply a serving size over greater-than 1 to single-serving containers, and that practice has been condemned (and perhaps recently became illegal).

OKay Ia m not losing my mind, yet. The last container I got seemed different and the calories seemed higher.

I liked the other version MUCH better and I never liked no fruit added yogurt before I found this kind.

Yea, I know that has happened with other products, but I still have a couple containers of the old recipe, and the serving size is the same. 1 serving per package, 170g. The changes are: more sugar, more calories, same amount of protein and fat, less calcium, less potassium, less Vit. A & B12, and less real fruit. The next part is subjective, but IMO less flavor as well. :confused3

Bad changes, bad, bad changes. :sad2: :rotfl:

The calorie count went up. I doubt they started suddenly giving out more for the same price. Plus, she already said it tastes different.

What I was describing wouldn't require giving out more for the same price. It just would require a change in the Nutritional Facts. It is very common. Be on the lookout for this.

As it is, Mrs. Todd has now indicated that she compared the old and new ingredients lists and it looks like they reformulated the product. So that doesn't apply in this case, but is still something that label-readers should be aware of.

I actually called Dannon about this. They changed the sweetener from Splenda to a cocktail of Splenda (sucralose), aspartame (Nutrasweet) and acesulfame potassium. My DD9 loves this yogurt and I was OK with her having some Splenda, but I don't like her having three different artificial sweeteners each time she eats yogurt. The official word from Dannon is that they added the other sweeteners to make it taste more like sugar. We will be finding another yogurt in our house.

My suspicion would be that they did it to save money. I wondered why the smaller portion/multipack containers went from 40 to 60 calories, and now see the packages say it's changed.

I am glad to know this... I thought something was 'different' about the taste but I couldn't figure it out.

I don't know, but I can't even GET my grocery store to carry the Cherry Dannon. Why is it so hard to get packs of JUST cherry yogurt? With actual cherries in them.

If you want your old style back, you need to raise holy cane with Dannon. I was part of the anti new Coke movement. We were very vocal and it worked. The changes sound awful. Let them know you don't like it!

Count me in as disappointed. I usually like the Strawberry Banana, but it's just not the same
